I spent over £20k on marketing before I was ready
I wish I knew this sooner.
At the time, it made sense.
Hire support.
Get things moving.
Focus on what you’re good at.
And I do believe in getting support.
But when you’re outsourcing things like your website, copy, ads or content before you’re clear on your work…
it can end up feeling like you’re throwing money at something and just hoping it clicks.
Because if you’re not clear on:
→ who you’re speaking to
→ what they’re actually navigating
→ the transformation you’re offering
no one you hire can be clear for you.
Things start to look better…
but they don’t actually work better.
You end up with:
→ followers who aren’t actually your people
→ content that sounds fine but doesn’t land
→ a website that looks polished… but doesn’t convert
→ high engagement from people telling you how inspiring you are… but no sales
→ or finding yourself in conversations (or even containers) with clients you know aren’t quite right
From the outside, it looks like things are working.
But underneath… something’s off.
What I’ve found now is that I’d take a handful of the right people in my world over thousands of the wrong ones.
Because that looks like:
→ conversations that actually go somewhere
→ clients who get real, lasting results
→ work that feels clean, not forced
→ and selling that doesn’t feel like convincing, it just feels like the next natural step.
This is why inside AVA, we start with getting you clear on:
→ your offers
→ your aligned clients
→ and how to actually express that in a way people recognise themselves in
So that when you show up, you’re speaking clearly about your work, attracting the right people into your world, and having conversations that don’t just stay as “this was so helpful”, but actually go somewhere.
Doors for AVA close this Sunday. Details in comments.

One of the things we talk about inside AVA is how easy it is to measure your work by likes and comments.
But the people who eventually become clients are often the quiet watchers.
The thoughtful ones.
The ones paying attention and deciding carefully when something feels right.
Inside AVA we work through the real moments behind visibility — the post you’ve rewritten three times, the message you’re trying to simplify, or the moment you suddenly feel unsure how to talk about your work again.
The next round begins this Friday.
You can read more through the link in the comments,
or just send me a message if you’d like to talk it through. 💛

The other day I saw a post come up in one of my local Facebook groups that really p*ssed me off.
A small business owner was promoting his business, and I was honestly shocked at the number of people tearing him down for it.
No wonder people avoid sharing their message on social media, especially when it’s business related.
But do you know what I find funny…
Even the people with all these unhealed triggers around sales, like the ones projecting onto this poor guy — are selling too.
Even if they don’t run their own business.
They’re selling
what they want for dinner to their toddler
which movie they want to see to their partner
or themselves to their boss when they want that next promotion.
Not all selling looks like business sales.
But everyone does it, whether they realise it or not.
So what makes someone trying to feed their family while doing good, honest work any different?
And maybe the real reason sharing your work can feel uncomfortable isn’t because selling is wrong…
but because of the stories people attach to it.
This kind of thing is exactly why the work inside AVA isn’t just strategy. It’s about how you hold your message when you share it.
Have you ever hesitated to post something because you were worried how people might react?

I noticed something interesting at a networking event recently.
I didn’t do anything particularly ‘clever’,
but my message felt settled.
And when that happens, something shifts.
People understand you faster.
Conversations go deeper.
The right people lean in.
This is the work we do inside AVA.
This isn't about forcing visibility or posting more.
But helping your message and how you hold it catch up with who you’ve become.
Doors are open this week. We start 13 March.
DM AVA if you want the details.

I’ve been having a few conversations in my DMs this week with high-functioning women who are good at what they do, but still feel a jolt of nerves when picking up the phone or heading into a sales conversation.
Interestingly, it came up for me after doing a few lead calls for my husband’s business this week too.
I’ve never loved phoning people either.
I’d take face-to-face any day.
So phone calls can still feel activating for me too.
One of the biggest misconceptions with all the nervous system language floating around right now is that we shouldn’t get activated.
That’s not actually the goal.
Activation is often your nervous system doing exactly what it’s designed to do — trying to keep you safe.
The challenge is when we don’t have the awareness or tools to move through those moments.
That’s when you’re left feeling wired… overwhelmed… or avoiding the call altogether.
I shared a simple tool in my stories today that helps you move through those states with more ease, and slowly increase your capacity to feel safer with phone calls and sales conversations.
If this is something you notice in yourself, go take a look.

If you’ve ever had 15 minutes to yourself and still not known where to start, it’s probably not time you’re missing, it’s clarity.

PART 2 : 5 Ways you could be subtly giving your power away✨️
You’re capable, independent, and the one everyone relies on.
But you’re handing your power away in small, subtle ways.
→ Over-explaining your prices.
→ Waiting for reassurance before you move.
→ Softening what you really want to say.
→ Opening another tab to “check” instead of trusting yourself.
From the outside, you look steady.
Inside, you’re constantly managing yourself.
Trying to be composed, considerate or easy to work with.
You think you need to work harder or do more.
Most of the time, you don’t.
You just need to come back into authorship.
Of your voice, your decisions and your value.
If you saw yourself in any of this, that’s exactly what the Resonance Hour is for.
DM RESONANCE or book through the link in comments.

The women who come to me are often strong, independent, successful women.
And they find themselves handing their power away in small, subtle ways.
Over-explaining prices,
waiting for reassurance or the perfect moment,
or softening what they really want to say.
They trust themselves,
but they’ve been programmed to stay composed, considerate, and “contained.”
They often think they need to push harder, force outcomes or do more.
When really they just need to come back into authorship.
Of their voice.
Their decisions.
Their value.
Later this week, I’ll share 2 more ways you could be sneaking your power away and what you can do to feel lighter again.

I’ve been keeping something close to my chest.
We have an extra heartbeat joining our family later this year🥲
Our hearts (and our hands) are already learning how to stretch.
This baby is already shifting me and my work in ways I never expected.
Grateful, and very full. In the best way💛
