Garden Time 🌿 At Creative Kids Gidea Park, we have a spacious garden full off different equipment for the children to enjoy. The main equipment the children enjoy playing on is the climbing frame. Scavenger Hunt 🌿🍂 The children in Rainbow South completed a scavenger hunt in the garden. They had to look at their checklist, then use their fine motor skills to tick off each item they have seen. One of the things to find was hearing a bird sing. The children listened carefully and finally heard birds singing in the tree. They were so excited when they found everything on their checklist.

Parent Partnership 💫 A couple of months ago, Rainbow East begun planting their own peppers and tomatoes. The children then took them home after watching them grow for a couple of week, so they could look after them with their families. We have been receiving lots of photos from the parents, showing the progress of the children's vegetables.

Messy Play ✨This week in Lilac Room, the children have had the opportunity to explore Oobleck. The children really enjoyed playing with it using spoons and stacking rings to scoop it up and experiment how it turns from solid to liquid. They all liked getting messy, and used their fine motor skills to explore the texture and scoop up the mixture.

Class of 2026 🎓 Last Friday, we held our annual graduation party and medal ceremony. All the parents were invited in for our medal ceremony in the morning, where Linda presented each child with a medal, then the keyworkers presented a certificate. For the medal ceremony, the nursery gifted each child with a leaver's t shirt, which they all wore and was a nice surprise for the parents to see. In the afternoon, the pre-school rooms organised a party for all the children and played lots of party games. All rooms had a picnic in the garden together, enjoying some tasty ice cream for finish off a special day! We are so proud of all our graduates and now they are ready for their next adventure! We will miss you all! 🎓

Pencil control ✏️ As we are coming up to the end of the school year, each room is preparing the children for the next age group. Sea Life 🪼🌊 The children in Rainbow West have been showing interest in sea life and are curious for life under the water. The staff set out a tuff tray using water and blue glitter, and the children explored the animals which we would find in the sea. The staff asked the children before setting out the tray "what animals live in the ocean?" The children could tell the staff and these were the ones which were chosen to be in the water.

Sand play ⛱️The children in Red Room had lots of fun playing with the sand. They used different resources to explore, and then the sand even ended up on the floor, with the children pretending it was a beach! Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed building sand castles!
