One of the strange things about ADHD is that people talk about attention problems.
Sometimes the problem isn't lack of attention.
It's too much.
I've sat down to do one thing and looked up hours later wondering where the day went.
No lunch.
No water.
No idea what time it is.
Just accidental hyperfocus.
Anyone else forget basic human maintenance when they're locked into something?

11pm:
Tired.
Midnight:
Still tired.
2am:
Let's analyse every decision you've made since 2007.
ADHD and sleep can be a frustrating combination.
The body is tired.
The brain suddenly decides it's hosting a TED Talk.
Tell me I'm not the only one who's had life-changing ideas at 2am that made absolutely no sense by breakfast.

One of the biggest ADHD myths is that exercise is about fitness.
For me, it's often about giving my brain somewhere to put the noise.
Some runs are great.
Some are slow.
Some are mostly me having conversations with myself.
But I nearly always come back feeling clearer than when I left.
Anyone else use movement to untangle their thoughts?

I was going to do one important thing.
Just one.
Three hours later I'd:
✔ reorganised my notes
✔ tidied my desk
✔ watched a couple of random videos
✔ Googled something completely unrelated
✔ still not done the thing I was supposed to do
If you have ADHD, you'll know exactly how this works.
It's not laziness.
It's not a lack of motivation.
It's your brain spotting 27 other things that suddenly seem more interesting.
The frustrating part is that you can be busy all day and still feel like you've achieved nothing.
Trust me, as an ADHD coach, this still happens to me too.
The difference now is I understand what's going on and know how to get myself back on track.
What's the most random thing you've done recently instead of the thing you were actually meant to be doing?

I genuinely went upstairs to get my phone.
Somewhere along the way I:
• moved laundry
• made coffee
• started tidying something
• forgot why I went upstairs
• remembered halfway back down
ADHD isn't a lack of attention.
Sometimes it's having attention pulled in twelve different directions at once.
Every task somehow becomes a side quest.
Tell me your most ridiculous ADHD side quest.
I know I'm not winning this one.

Can we all agree that there's a point where replying to an email starts to feel socially awkward?
Day 1:
"Sorry for the delay."
Day 7:
"Sorry, things have been busy."
Day 21:
"Sorry, I thought I'd replied."
Day 42:
Maybe if I ignore it long enough, it'll solve itself.
ADHD isn't always forgetting.
Sometimes it's remembering every day and still not doing it.
Tell me I'm not the only one...

People assume ADHD coaches have somehow unlocked a secret level of organisation.
We haven't.
The difference is we understand what's happening when it shows up.
ADHD doesn't disappear.
You just get better at working with it instead of fighting it.
What's your most ADHD moment this week?
