Today we say a fond farewell to Mr Jon Wadsworth and Miss Lucy Jamison, who are leaving Minster Nursery & Infant School after many years of dedicated service.

Mr Wadsworth has worked here for 20 years, and Miss Jamison for nearly as long — both have been an integral part of our school community.

Incredibly dedicated, patient, kind, and caring, they are true experts in early childhood development and learning. They have provided countless children with a wonderful start to their educational journey.

We thank them both for their huge contribution to our school and the lives of our children over the years. We wish them all the very best for the future! 💐✨ 💔

A lovely retelling of a section of 'We're Going on A Bear Hunt' by two of our children. (They were able to retell the entire story with the exact vocabulary, aswell as actions and rhythm!) 🥰🫶👏👏

Nursery children read 'Town Mouse and Country Mouse' and this has helped them develop their understanding between the two environments.

Over the last week the children have been constructing different buildings and adding them together to make a town. It now has 's very own Saffron Tower, office blocks, blocks of flats, houses, roads and even a swimming pool and cinema! At the moment Sonic 3 is showing and is attracting big crowds of viewers. The town keeps growing and may soon become a city! Today Baby Jesus in the stable was added. 😂😍

Last Friday we celebrated International Women's Day in school and found out why it is important to do this. Year 2 also learned about two inspirational women in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Here is some 'pupil voice' gathered by Year 2 staff. We're so impressed with what the children remembered and took away from the day.

Today Year 2 were visited by our local officer from the Education Team at London Fire Brigade The officer taught our children so much. We looked at hazards in the home, learnt about different types of smoke alarms and what to do if there was ever a fire at home. Thank you for coming to see us!
