🌈 Do you know what these flowers have in common?

💐 Violets – The classical Greek poet Sappho described her female lover wearing garlands of these flowers. Over time it's become a symbol for le****ns and Sapphic women overall.

💐 Green carnations – Made iconic by Oscar Wilde in the early 20th century, symbolising homosexuality during a time when being openly gay was still criminal.

💐 Roses – A historically universal symbol of love, the rose holds profound significance in honouring Trans Day of Remembrance.
