We all get to choose the code we live by. The culmination of our values, our morals and how we believe the world should work. Our code is not a weapon to impose our will on others. It is a summary of what we believe life is about - encapsulated in our decisions and actions. It is our agency in the world. For better or ill, our code defines us.
How easily could you articulate the code you live by?
To what extent does your life allow you to live by your code?
If you could change one aspect of your life to be more aligned with your beliefs, what would it be?

It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much. ... The life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully.

For those of us who dealt with childhood trauma, our inner child was a way we survived. It protected us and shielded us from the abuse as best it could. But as we get older, these protective reactions become less useful. When we start a dialogue with our inner child we give it the space to tell us what it needs to, to thank it for everything I helped us survive, and a platform to explain why we don't need its help anymore.
What is my relationship like with my inner child?
How did it serve me well when I needed protection?
In what ways do I no longer need it, and how can I start that conversation?

Find the peace in small changes. Forget the incessant voices telling you you're not good enough yet, and find a way to bask in the tiny things you'll do a little better today. There is peace in realising that whether you moved a thousand miles, or just one step, you still moved forwards. And on most days that's enough.
What's one, small change I could make today?
How can I better celebrate the small things I do in pursuit of something bigger?
What is my biggest barrier to feeling peace with where I am?

We're taught that bravery requires big, heroic acts. It doesn't. It's any step you take which requires you to step outside of your comfort zone. And when you're trying something new, taking small steps of bravery is the only way you move forwards. They're how we improve, how we grow and how we get where we want to go.
Small Steps of Bravery are…
Showing up.
Trying something new.
Taking one step.
Doing the thing you've been dreading.
Trying again.

Whenever you become anxious or stressed, outer purpose has taken over, and you've lost sight of your inner purpose. You have forgotten that your state of consciousness is primary, all else secondary.

Our emotional regulation is how well we can manage our feelings and, in turn, our behaviour. Flying off the handle, small bouts of rage and overreacting are all signs of poor emotional regulation. Poor role models, anxiety, repression and fear can all impact how well we can regulate our emotions and, in turn, our behaviour in our lives.
How balanced and considered are my reactions to stressful situations?
If I notice I tend to overreact, what are the triggers?
What do my reactions say about what I fear most?

We often see our purpose as the destination, but there is great power in finding purpose in how you get there too.
Finding joy and meaning in the steps you take each day towards your goal means, even if it takes a while to get there, you’ll enjoy the journey a little more. How can I make my process more enjoyable and engaging?
What could I change to make the process fit the way I like to work?
If I had a perfect day towards my goal, what would it look like?

Each day, a million unique moments arise, bubble to the surface and disappear again. As we rush through each day at breakneck speed we miss these small but profound opportunities to connect more meaningfully with our lives - and find purpose in the mundane and simple.
I what ways can I connect more purposefully with my day-to-day life?
What would it look like if I chose to see the richness in the simplest things?
When I stay still and let the world exist around me, what do I notice has been there all along?

Consider the energy you expend worrying about whether you’re heading in the right direction, or doing the right things with your life. Now imagine what you might do with that energy if you knew, resolutely, you were heading in the right direction. Finding your North Star isn’t always about having some grand purpose, but it is about deciding what you’ll use to guide your life forwards. It’s a tool and touchstone to make decisions easier, build more purpose into how you live and pick a direction that fits the life you want to lead.
1. How would your life change if you knew, with resolute certainty, you were heading in the right direction?
2. How much time are you able to invest in the things that matter most to you?
3. If your energy was a finite resource, how would you choose to invest it?
4. How often do you take stock of where you’re travelling, and how it’s working for you?
5. What one word that defines a meaningful life to you?

Self-Limiting beliefs hold us back from our potential and prevents us achieving our goals. Often a form of sub-conscious defence, these beliefs stop us moving forwards. Spot the signs which suggest you might be holding a self-limiting belief…
1. It’s binary - I will NEVER be good enough… I will ALWAYS mess up…
2. It’s selective - I failed that one time, so I’ll always fail. I remember the 1 time something bad happened.
4. It’s critical - I’m not good enough. I’m too old. I’m too young. I’m under qualified.
4. It’s preventative - I shouldn’t try X, I might get hurt. Here’s the 100 things that could go wrong.
5. It blames - I’ve love to, BUT. If only X believed in me. My partner won’t let me.

Our North Star is the light we guide our life towards. It’s a way to orientate our life and find direction - even when we don’t know where our path will lead.
Become intentional with how you're directing your life and invest the time in exploring what you're own North Star might be. It helps us stay on track, even through the tougher times, and becomes a way to navigate through our lives when we get lost, or travel through darker times. A consistent light in the darkness so we know, whatever life throws our way, we’re still walking in the right direction.
