TALK TUESDAY
Today we bring you a new recommendation in the form of 2016 BBC 2 documentary series, Black is Black. These are just two of the questions asked in the series, that we found particularly thought provoking. It’s so important when exploring our answers to be as honest as possible about what thoughts they provoke and if any what unconscious prejudices surface. Letting our guards down and getting uncomfortable, so we can address it and consciously unlearn is an incredibly important part of educating ourselves, doing better and becoming anti racist.

TALK TUESDAY
Following in from yesterday’s Windrush anniversary, we would like to encourage you to ask yourselves these questions and to engage in dialogue with family and friends. It is undeniable that the Windrush generation have been an enormous part of rebuilding post-war Britain and we are indebted to them. The notion that it is in any way the other way around is inadmissible. Refer to yesterday’s post for an initial insight into who the Windrush generation are and what the Windrush scandal is and follow the link in our bio to learn more and how to support getting justice. As always, our comments and DMs are open to discuss within the CU community.
