Hello everyone and welcome to my page, to begin with, my name is Ainy and I'm a Spanish Ofsted Registered Nanny who's been living in the UK since 2018.
Despite being 24 years old I have been in charge of children in different environments for 10 years now.
In 2010, when I was 14, I started volunteering at a club with children aged 7 and over; helping to supervise and organise activities. We would get together every Saturday during the school term time and do different games and activities for 90 minutes. Furthermore, we used to go to winter camps staying in a hostel for three to four days and summer camps for eleven to thirteen days where we had to fill our days with fun activities and games. I did this until the end of 2017.
When I turned 18 I started working during some weekends as a children entertainer in big events such as weddings and first communions. My responsibilities included getting different arts and crafts activities prepared, organising and supervising different group activities, for example we also had a gigantic bouncy castle where we had to ensure that all children were safe.
Thereafter I began studying to achieve my level 4 qualification in Early Childhood Education. I gained a valuable insight of children's development, different techniques that can be used with children to encourage their learning and positive behaviour, and about special educational needs, what signs we have to be looking for and how to help the children achieve their goals giving the maximum of their potential.
I participated in a nursery placement where I worked 40 hours a week for three months supporting my tutor in the different activities, helping the children's development ensuring they met all the milestones for their age and giving them lots of attention.
In January 2018 I moved to the United Kingdom and I worked as an Au Pair for three months taking care of a 13 years old boy and a nine years old girl. The original plan was to stay with them until summer but sadly their circumstances changed and they did not need me anymore.
I found a family who's previous Au Pair had left without notice and were left without sufficient childcare until their new au pair was due to arrive. I worked with this family for almost four months taking care of three children, they were at the time one and a half years old, four and six.
After this I began working in a nursery in North London. I continued with this for five months until I started working as a nanny.
I started my first nanny job in February 2019 and the children were four, six and eight years old, I was working 55 hour weeks at this time, and after a year and six months with them I decided it was time to find a new opportunity as I needed some time during the week to further my qualifications. September 2020 I started a 40 hour week role taking care of a one years old and a four years old.
Since January 2021 I have been tutoring a six years old, helping him to learn the phonics as his learning is a bit delayed for his age.
In all of this experience I have gained over the years I have learnt a lot about children and they have taught me so many things.
I have had to deal with children with very challenging behaviour and ADHD.
I also have had to deal with different situations where after an incident/accident I was the main first aider with children and adults that required quick thinking and problem solving, for example allergic reactions, seizures and convulsions, burns, scalds, broken bones, falls, bumps and many more.
I consider myself a natural first aider and I react quickly and calmly to very stressful situations. Some of these incidents involved adults and children that were not with me but required a first aider to help them before the emergency services arrived.
