The Seasons Art Class Esher

18/09/2026

🎉We’re baaaaaack!!! The Autumn 26 term has begun and it’s off to a flying start! 🍂🍁

🥰It was wonderful to be back amongst so many old friends and to welcome lots of new students to our friendly community.

🏠The first of our new projects was inspired by artist and illustrator Saul Steinberg. Using a playful illustrative style with pencil and fine liner, our students created their dream dollhouses. I love how each drawing is filled with little personal and creative touches. And such beautiful detail. When can I move in? 😊

🤩A fantastic start to an exciting term. I can’t wait to see what our students create in the next few months.

This made me chuckle. Who’s watching the eclipse and meteor shower tonight?

If you know, you know, and you were probably born in the 80s

👨🏻‍🎨 When our students saw what our last acrylic project was, there was a lot of nervous muttering in the room.

🎨 Portraits are challenging, especially when you throw in some skin tone colour matching into the mix!

🤩 But, as you can see from these pics, they embraced the challenge and produced some of my favourite pieces so far!

🖌️If you want to learn how to draw portraits, paint your pet, make new friends, carve some time out for yourself, enter flow state on a weekly basis and much, much, more; well, you’re in luck!!!

Bookings are open for our Autumn Course which starts in September. There are limited spaces remaining so call ☎️ 0208 036 9666 or 💻 email Rachel at [email protected] to book your space. Hurry to avoid disappointment! 😊

🤩 By the time we come to the end of a course, I have literally 100’s of photos of students artwork. I couldn’t possibly choose a top 10! 🫣

🎨 This is just a teeny selection of some of the beautiful acrylic paintings our students created this term.

📣If you like what you see and would like to join us in the Autumn- bookings are now open!
DM me for all the details.

🎨It’s always fun to try something completely new, and this project was so much fun!

⛵️Our students created a textured base with newspaper and gesso and then painted their seascapes on top. The results were fabulous!

Our featured artist this term is Samira Addo, winner of Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year. Her expressive brushwork uses tonal block work with a purposefully unfinished look that inspires this striking portrait.

I can't wait to see how our students apply their individual style to this project! 😍

Wishing my students a very happy Father's Day!
Thank you to Toni Bowater for the beautiful painting!

Such sad news. At least his vast and wonderful body of work will be experienced forever 🩷
