In the past, we've organised things such as bungee jumps on Queens' Lawn, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, masquerade balls, cake sales, bike auctions and raids.

Hey! We're the committee for RAG this year! We hope to meet all of you soon at all the exciting events coming up. We would love to get you all involved, please give us a shout!!!

Hey guys, RAG is back up and running! Join us as we have some fun and make an impact on peoples lives! Here's a little insight into what we're about:

As a charitable organisation, we're dedicated to helping as many people as we can! In 2018-19, RAG collectively raised nearly £20,000 and helped the Anthony Nolan foundation, Alzheimer's research UK and MERU. We would love to continue that legacy and make an impact ourselves!

Join RAG as we try to help as many people as we can whilst having plenty fun on the way!

Hey everyone! After a bit of a break RAG is up and running again!!!

Loads of exciting stuff coming, please check out our insta for more info!

Meet RAG’s Treasurer, Minqi Pan! Minqi is a second year chemistry student and was a committee member in RAG last year. She is very excited about all the events RAG is about to hold this year. It’s really meaningful to think about the every single person that you will be helping, and the joy you will bring to their lives.

Minqi is also the president of IC Yoga and a mentor in Imperial OutReach team.

Meet this year's RAG Chair, Ahana Banerjee! Ahana is a third-year Physics student and was the Vice-Chair for RAG last year. She is really looking forward to running some exciting, fundraising events in support of the three RAG charities of the year; Anthony Nolan, Alzheimer's Research UK, MERU. Her goal for this year is to host as many events as possible and work alongside many of the other CSPs on campus.

When Ahana is not pursuing her charitable endeavors, she is jamming with her band Children in the Amp, working on her careers-based start-up Varsity Careers Hub, and trying not to fall too far behind on problem sheets!

If you have any questions about how you can get involved with RAG this year, or you want to learn more about our events, feel free to send her a message!

The third (and final) charity we would like to announce is...

Alzheimer's Research UK!

Alzheimer's Research UK are the UK's leading Alzheimer's research charity aiming to defeat dementia.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. Backed by their passionate scientists and supporters, they’re challenging the way people think about dementia, uniting the big thinkers in the field and funding the innovative science that will deliver a cure.

Dementia is not a natural part of ageing. It’s caused by physical diseases, most commonly Alzheimer’s. The damage to a brain with Alzheimer’s can leave it weighing 140g less than a healthy one. That’s about the weight of an orange. But this shows that Alzheimer’s is a physical disease. And through research, we know diseases can be slowed. They can be stopped. At Alzheimer’s Research UK, we believe research can change the future. But to help us get there sooner, we must change the conversation about dementia. Help us change the conversation about dementia and

Their mission is to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025. ICU's RAG can't wait to be a part of this!

The second charity we would like to announce is...

MERU (Medical Engineering Resource Unit)!

MERU designs and builds assistive equipment for people with disabilities.

As a charity they are able to develop products which wouldn’t normally be commercially viable. In this way, they are able to help people who may have very specific or complex needs.

MERU's products are designed and manufactured by design engineers, with the help of our dedicated volunteers. They work with families, individuals, health and social care professionals and other organisations to ensure that their products are designed for purpose.

We look forward to our year ahead with them!

The first charity we would like to announce is...

Anthony Nolan!

Anthony Nolan save the lives of people with blood cancer, who need a stem cell (or bone marrow) transplant.

It all began in 1974. With three-year-old son Anthony in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant, Shirley Nolan set up the world’s first register to match donors with people in desperate need.

This charity saves lives. They conduct world-class research into stem cell matching and transplants, and have almost 800,000 people on their UK register. We are so excited to work with them this year!

We are pleased to announce that we have chosen our three charity partners for the year 2019/20! Stay tuned for an exclusive charity reveal!

Our final team for Jailbreak 2019 are The Dweebs! Daniel and Anson need all your support as they attempt to hitchhike accross the globe.

The Dweebs are raising money for four incredible charities: Smile Train, the Cardinal Hume Centre, Mind and the Children's Society. Check out their fundraising page and help them reach their target!

Our third Jailbreak team are first-year students Alessandro and Matteo! If you weren't sure about whether or not they deserve a donation, check out their fundraising page for some tantalising perks. Just £30 will unlock the "pick up a guy/girl for you using a pick-up line of your choice" reward 😍

Alessandro and Matteo are supporting Smile Train, the Children's Society, Mind and the Cardinal Hume Centre on their travels. All donations are hugely appreciated!

Meet Bryan and Bella; two Imperial students flying away for charity. They are both passionate about travel and charity - so what better way to spend their weekend than taking part in the RAG Spring Jailbreak?!

In the next 36 hours, they are aiming to reach Cappadocia, Turkey. Help them raise money here:

This is Rose, Anjie and Mini! They are 2nd Year Imperial Medics trying to escape the stress of their degree by taking part in the Imperial RAG Jailbreak!

They have already raised over £500, and are doing really well. By donating a few quid (or pledging to pay a few pennies per mile they travel) you will be giving directly to:

The Children's Society - providing protection and support for vulnerable children.
Smile Train - an international charity funding free cleft palate repair surgeries.
Mind - a helpline that supports a wide range of people with various mental health problems.
Cardinal Hume Centre - helps people gain skills to overcome poverty and homelessness.
Remember every contribution counts!

Make sure you look out for them dressed in their unicorn and panda onesies this weekend!
