👋 Hi there, I’m Krishan. I currently work as a Junior Doctor in intensive care, managing acutely unwell patients and involved in cross-disciplinary healthcare provision. I am also coordinating a programme for final year medical students to best utilise their final District General Hospital placements.

📝 Prior to this, I spent time teaching in secondary education, helping disadvantaged students fulfil their potential in GCSE and A-level Science.

🚲 When not on the wards, I am busy preparing for the London to Paris charity bike ride!

👋 Hello, my name is Heer. I am a practising Oncology doctor at Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospital. My interests are focused on preventative and personalised medicine and I am working towards a career as an oncologist.

📚 I am completing a Master’s at the University of Oxford working with researchers to reengineer viruses to kill cancer cells

📝 Outside of academic interests, I have a passion for teaching. Before starting MedAhead I worked as a teaching fellow for Bart’s and the London. For over ten years, I have tutored students and coached them through difficult Medical interviews and admissions tests.

🌱 In my spare time, I enjoy playing badminton and throughout lockdown gained an obsession with houseplants!

🦉 Who are we?
Founded by two UCL doctors, MedAhead prides itself on nurturing a more diverse and talented pool of healthcare professionals. Our founders have close to 20 years of experience within healthcare, research and working with students through their medical journeys.

🥼 What do we do?
Our flagship Summer School is an immersive introduction to Medicine. Students are presented with pioneering research and taught how to critique published works. They also will solve patient case studies, learn how to diagnose diseases, and debate topical ethical dilemmas.

📝 In recognition of the competitive nature of medicine, our platform offers 1:1 interview and personal statement coaching. Students are paired with an experienced NHS doctor to help guide them through the entire process. Moreover, we encourage our doctors to go beyond admissions support, thus fulfilling a role of advice, mentorship and inspiration.
