It is the first virtual counselling/career guidance workshop of the year, and I am looking forward to meeting experienced DP counsellors wishing to keep up-to-date on changes in the IB DP, share examples of best practice, explore their school context in the IB ecosystem, define and discuss their role as the DP counsellor, to learn strategies to support the effectiveness of the counsellor working with IB DP students, and to build on counselling practice to better advise students towards diploma award and post-secondary options.
