Last week Lilac room had a sensory day. The babies all really enjoyed this and especially liked our light up table and accessories. They we able to build the cubes and knock them back down whilst watching them glow in the light. There was also a range of coloured scarves and items of different textures for the babies to feel and play with.

This week we have had another week of fun in the sun. We are really lucky to have a huge purpose built garden for all of our children to play in. When it has been too hot the children have moved the activities inside to our air conditioned rooms.

This week Green Room have carried out a variety of activities based on the topic Ice Creams.
They had peppermint scented water to play with and scented playdough to pretend to be ice cream for them to scoop into little tubs. The playdough smelt delicious and was fragranced with orange, lemon, coffee, mint and rose water.
Other activities included Splat the ice cream, build your own ice cream with Duplo Bricks, and matching sprinkles to the number cones. They also used their fine motor skills by using pipettes and coloured water to make their own ice creams on cotton pads.

Last week we had our Annual Graduation. The children had a party first then we invited the parents or grandparents to come in for a short presentation and performance from the Rainbow Room children. Lots of these children have been with us since they were babies and we would like to wish them all well for their next chapter at 'big school'.

Yesterday In Rainbow Room the pre-school children had their very own Ice Cream Parlour. They had a choice of ice cream flavours and sauces and then lots of different sprinkles to go on top. The children enjoyed independently making their own ice creams and it was a nice refreshing afternoon treat.

This week is Rainbow Room's week of fun ahead of the pre-schoolers leaving to go to big school!

On Monday they all made cakes. They helped to mix the ingredients then put them in our child friendly oven to cook. Once they were cooled the children then iced the cakes before eating them with milkshakes at tea.

Red and Green Room had their annual Sports Day today, hosted by Jack and Luke from Superstar Sports. This year we invited the parents to come in and join us. Everyone was dressed in their team colours and they all took part in four different stations which included a penalty shoot out and a bean bag race. At the end there was a staff race and lots of children and parent races so everyone that wanted to join in had a turn. This was a lot of fun and there were a lot of competitive participants.
Green team won with 347 points followed by Yellow team with 337 points.
We would like to thank everyone who came and took part and Jack and Luke for making this another fun Sports Day.
