Russian Soldier lost control of heavy machine gun and was flung into the air
Russian troops appeared to have had an extremely close call after one lost control of a heavy machine gun and was flung into the air.
The dramatic incident was captured in a video shared on Telegram by pro-war Russian military bloggers who suggested it was not AI-generated.
It was not possible to verify the footage but it appeared to show soldiers attempting to repurpose a heavy machine gun usually mounted on attack helicopters into an anti-aircraft gun against Ukrainian drones.
A masked soldier is heard saying "fire when ready", as another stands behind the gun which can fire up to 5,000 rounds per minute.
