WHAT ARE OUR AIMS? Our first goal is to better understand how children from different backgrounds vary in terms of their brain development. HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Preschool Brain Imaging and Behaviour Project (PIP) is the first Europe-wide study to track the development of preschool children with and without autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. We will investigate how these differences in brain development are related to other areas such as social, emotional, behavioural and cognitive development. Our second goal is to use this information

🧠 ⭐ BRAIN EXPLORERS WANTED ⭐ 🧠

We are seeking young children aged between 2.5-4.5 years with and without neurodevelopmental conditions (autism, ADHD, developmental delay and epilepsy) to better understand variability in brain development, and how potential differences relate to a child's social, emotional, behavioural and cognitive development.

The first part of the PIP project can be completed remotely in the comfort of your home. It involves touchscreen-based games for your child, and parent-report questionnaires and interviews. The second part involves an in-person visit to the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London. It includes interactive games, an EEG and eye-tracking session, and a MRI scan whilst your child is asleep.

As compensation for your time and energy you will receive a £50 gift voucher and a gift for your child. If you are interested in taking part or would like more info, please visit http://www.aims-2-trials.eu/pip-kcl-2/ and contact the PIP team at [email protected]

We look forward to hearing from you!

Are you interested in taking part in this research project?

Due to COVID-19, the first part of the study will take place in the comfort of your home. There is no need for you to come us. Instead, it will include phone calls with parents, and tablet/smart phone games for the young brain explorers.

At a later time, we will then get in touch with our participants again and invite them to visit us at King's College London to take participate in the second part of the research. Have a look at the second image for some additional information what this would entail!

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please email us at [email protected].

We are excited to hear from you!
