Toggles Nursery

Next stop this week.....our pre-schoolers went on their trip to the Transport Museum! 🚂🚌🚋

The children loved exploring all the different vehicles, climbing aboard the bus and train, and learning about transport from the past including steam trains and horse and cart. It was a wonderful way to bring our Wowzer book to life, as there are so many exciting vehicles to discover in the story too!

We were also incredibly proud of how brilliantly the children behaved throughout the journey, travelling on the train, tube and tram with such enthusiasm and excellent manners.

A fantastic day full of learning, excitement and new experiences. Well done everyone! 🌟

Wowzers (literally!) what a week we have had!! First off our Togglers had the most incredible visit linked to our core book over the past two weeks, Wowzers — where we explored fire engines 🚒

We cannot thank Croydon Fire Station enough for being so patient, informative, and truly brilliant with the children.

The children had the most amazing hands-on experience — they climbed into the fire engine, heard the sirens, and even had the chance to spray the hose (which was definitely a highlight! 😄).

The firefighters spoke to the children about how to stay safe, the importance of smoke alarms, and what number to call in an emergency, as well as all the equipment they need such as their uniform their computer equipment, mask, cutting equipment, and much to the delight of a couple of them the ladder.

Even the team got involved, trying on the equipment and experiencing just how heavy and important their role is.

It was such a special afternoon, and the children were still talking about it all evening.

Thank you again to these wonderful firefighters 🧯 not only for visiting us, but for everything you do to keep us safe every single day.

Monkey Puzzle story has been our theme last week and this. What better way to celebrate than a trip to the zoo with our littlest Togglers to see if we can find a real life monkey 🐒 We were also fortunate enough to see meerkats, ponies, and some different birds. The grey parrot even said “hello” to us when we came in 🥰

And that’s a wrap for 2025! 🙌 What an amazing year we have had 🥰🤩 Wishing all our Toggles families past and present a very Merry Christmas 🎄 To our wonderful little Togglers, we hope you had the best time with your families 🎁🥳🎅🏽❤️ We can’t wait to see you all in 2026.

Lots of Halloween 🎃 👻 💀 fun at the nursery

We had a lovely morning at the Country Park this morning 🥰 🦆 🤩

Yesterday we were finally able to have our annual Summer and graduation party 🎓 we had to postpone it last week due to the weather! What a wonderful day and an amazing turnout from our Toggles family (we missed those that were unable to make it!)

This one was a very poignant one for us, as these Togglers leaving were some of our first babies when we took over, so to now see them school ready is so bittersweet 🥲This really is the hardest part of a nursery life watching our children fly the nest! Yesterday there were tears of both sadness but also pride 🥹 We are with these children, some of them every single day, we watch their milestones, give them cuddles when they need them, we nurture, love, teach and protect and treat them as our own. Yesterday watching the parents watch on with pride as they sang, and the leavers have their goodbye speeches was so emotional 🥹

Thank you to everyone that came, the gifts, and we got some of the kindest words from parents as well which just means the world to us 🥰

Thank you to my team for everything they do every single day, these parties, and our outings, the speeches, and how much the children adore us all and watching how amazing our children are, are testiment to what you do, so thank you ☺️ I’m so proud of you all 🥰

To those Togglers that have left or are leaving, we love you, good luck in big school, you’re all going to smash it, you will all forever hold a special place in all our hearts at Toggles ❤️ please come back and visit us soon!

And for those children still with us, we will continue to support, nurture, encourage, teach and of course love you as we have done since the minute you’ve walked through the door 🧡

Another fantastic annual outing with some of our Togglers 💜 (we missed those that were unable to make it) We had the best day at Bocketts Farm. It was a bit warm, but there was plenty of shade and indoor areas that the children could still see the animals and keep cool. The team and I absolutley love these days out, the children were excellently behaved, even another teacher for a different school/nursery commented. Well done to all our littlens, and I know they’ll be talking about this for weeks to come. Thanks again to my amazing lovely team, and our volunteers 🤩 It really was a wonderful day 🥰

Tomorrow is World Down Syndrome day, we celebrated today so as many children as possible could join in 🥰 Well done to all the children, staff and our singing lady for raising awareness by wearing odd socks today 🤩 ❤️ 🌻
