Today, we remember. Today, we honor. 🕯️

On this day, May 30th, Ndi Igbo across the world pause to remember the over 2 million lives lost during the Biafran War (1967-1970) — our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and innocent children whose dreams were cut short.

We remember them not just in silence, but through action:
✨ By preserving our language.
✨ By teaching our children our history.
✨ By holding onto our identity.
✨ By saying their names.

Igbo anyị agaghị efu.
(Our Igbo identity will never be lost.)

As we light a candle 🕯️ today, we reaffirm our commitment to speak our language, celebrate our culture, and honor the resilience of Ndi Igbo.

📌 Join us today — light a candle, say a prayer, share our history.
📖 Ka anyi na echetara ha. (Let us remember them.)

🕊️ Biafra lives in our hearts.

es, or packaging. In life, what truly matters is the journey, the experience, and the destination — not the surface presentation. Wisdom teaches us to value substance over style.

🚐✨ Next time an opportunity, person, or situation presents itself, don’t focus on how it looks; focus on where it can take you.

🔍 Moral:
Look beyond appearances. Value what truly matters.

The Legacy of the Igbo Diaspora: Tracing Igbo Culture Around the World! 🇳🇬✨

Did you know? 💬 “Igbo Landing” in Georgia, USA, is one of the most powerful symbols of resistance in African American history.

In 1803, a group of Igbo captives, taken through the Atlantic Slave Trade, bravely chose death over bondage—drowning themselves rather than submitting to slavery. This act of defiance at Igbo Landing is a testament to the unbreakable spirit of the Igbo people and remains a legacy of courage, freedom, and resilience. 🕊️🔥

🌍 From the Caribbean to the Americas, Igbo traditions—like language, proverbs, music, and spiritual practices—continue to influence Black cultures globally.

📢 Engagement Question:
Have you heard about the Igbo Landing story before? What are your thoughts on the impact of Igbo culture in the diaspora? Let us know in the comments!
