The name of our club is “Bushido Kai Karate-Jitsu”. our system follows the Toudi Jitsu techniques researched by the Tsubokai society, this is an ancient form of martial arts based on the oldest - once lost teachings of the masters of old. By following these teachings we have a style that uses your natural body movements with devastating effects. Although the martial arts take years to perfect, through these ancient methods of teaching, you will be able to defend yourself in real world combat situations in just a few weeks. Our system is based around the fact that you do not have to be big and powerful to defend yourself. This is due to the fact that the ancient forms use natural balance and various “Reaction points” on the body to repel almost any kind of attack you can think of, therefore a smaller person can very easily overpower a much larger person. also because the principles within our art are using your body as it would naturally move, not only is it quick to learn – but once you have learned the basics, they will become a natural reaction should they ever be needed – and that is the most important thing when defending yourself. Another thing that makes our system very different from many others is that, it aims to cover ALL aspects of Martial arts. In order to learn ALL area’s of martial arts you would normally need to attend anything up to 6 different clubs to do this. At Bushido Kai, we cover all these area’s (and more) under one roof, by breaking our structure into 3 main area’s of learning,

Atemi Waza
(Standing techniques)

Nage Waza
(Clinching, Takdown and throwing techniques)

Ne-Waza
(Grappling, Wrestling, Ground techniques)


with these three areas in addition containing:

Punching - Kicking - Elbows - Knees - throwing - Joint locks - takedowns - chokes - submissions - pad & Bag work - Groundwork and also weapons training. Combine this with our “Chi Kung” (breathing) and combat conditioning, your fitness and overall health will naturally rise too.

🧑‍🏫 Our coaches are all high ranking professional martial arts Black belts, with decades of knowledge an experience in ALL aspects of self defence including Bully prevention, both striking and non striking applications, Karate-Jutsu, BK1 (Traditional MMA) & all aspects of ground defence and are certified by T.K.K.J.A accredited coaching courses. We believe in developing our team of coaches and youth leaders & providing realistic, effective and easy to learn, self-defence applications. They use ancient principles to combat modern situations.

Some people just get it – some people just see what we are trying to achieve. Mastering any kind of system is a simple fact of keep turning up and sticking it out through good and bad. The longer you keep walking through that door the bigger the change you will see.

A great fun day out with some of the team today celebrating Sensei James’s 50th birthday! 🏹🎯

A huge thank you to everyone at for a fantastic day, and especially to our Archery Instructor Fraser, who was a brilliant teacher and joined in with our crazy banter throughout the day! 😂

It was great to see everyone getting stuck in, putting their focus and patience to the test, and of course giving us plenty of laughs along the way.

If you’re looking for a great day out, whether it’s archery, crossbows or axe throwing, look no further than these guys. They’ve got some fantastic activities and we had an absolute blast.

We’ll definitely be back! 👊🏹.
