TIPS ...
Constructing sentences in French requires attention to grammar, vocabulary, and syntax. To begin, identify the subject (who or what the sentence is about) and the verb (the action or state of being). In French, the verb usually follows the subject, but there are exceptions depending on the tense and structure.
Next, consider the object (the recipient of the action) and any additional information such as adjectives, adverbs, or prepositional phrases. Adjectives typically come after the noun they describe, unlike in English where they often come before.
Pay close attention to gender and number agreement, as French nouns, adjectives, and articles must match in gender (masculine or feminine) and number (singular or plural) with the nouns they modify.
Furthermore, be mindful of verb conjugations. French verbs change according to the subject and tense, so understanding conjugation patterns is essential.
Finally, practice constructing sentences in various tenses and structures to solidify your understanding of French grammar rules. With dedication and practice, you'll soon be able to craft sentences with confidence and clarity in French.

Bonjour Parents!
As your teen prepares for the GCSE French exam, it’s important to supplement their classroom learning with practice at home. But how can you make at-home French fun versus feeling like more schoolwork?
Here are 5 engaging ideas:
✅ Make flashcards together - Get creative with photos, drawings, or coloured markers. Quiz each other. 🎨
✅ Play charades or Pictionary - Act out or draw French vocab terms and guess the word. 🤔
✅ Listen to French music - Look up lyrics and sing along to learn new words. 🎶
✅ Watch French shows and movies - Toggle languages and replay scenes. 🎥
✅ Cook a French meal - Learn food terms and practice conversations. 🍽️
Immersing your teen in the language through play keeps their skills sharp while showing French can be enjoyable, not a chore.
