What a day. 🎬✨

Our second joint Film Day with Radley College and St Helen and St Katharine was another huge success!

Year 11 pupils teamed up in mixed groups to create original short films across the incredible Radley campus before heading to SHSK for a black-tie dinner and Oscars Night. 🏆🍿

It's a fantastic way for pupils joining Sixth Form in September to meet new people, make new friends and celebrate the end of GCSEs in style.

A massive thank you to the staff at both schools, who put so much into making this event unforgettable.

We've been running Film Days at Radley since 2007 and SHSK since 2012, so it's brilliant to see the two schools coming together to create amazing films—and the best of them will now go on to compete at our annual 10 Shot Film Awards in London, judged by film industry professionals.

During the last week of term, One Day Film School visited the Lower Sixth for an immersive filmmaking workshop. Pupils explored the history of film and developed practical skills including stage combat, camera framing and editing. Working in teams, they then planned, filmed and edited their own short films, which were premiered at the end of the day.

Congratulations to Jack D, Theo D, Jolyon E, Monty T, Alfie P and Will S, whose film End of the Line won Best Motion Picture and is now eligible for the 2026 10 Shot Film Awards.

During Enrichment Week, Year 7 pupils took part in the One Day Film School workshop, exploring film history, fight choreography, camera skills, screenwriting and editing.

In the afternoon, they tackled the 10 Shot Challenge, working in groups to create short films before screening them at their very own Channing Oscars ceremony.

🎬 Lights, camera... action!

A huge thank you to One Day Film School for delivering another fantastic film school! Sixth form students learned how to “punch each other like in the movies” (don’t worry, no students were harmed! 😄), explored professional filming and editing techniques, and then headed off across the school to create their own two-minute films.

From laugh-out-loud comedies to genuinely moving dramas, the creativity, teamwork and imagination on display never failed to impress.🎥✨
