The children enjoyed learning about people who help our community, dressing up in different roles and discovering how they care for others. We spent time outdoors watering plants in the park, saying goodbye to our butterflies as we released them together, and keeping cool during the warm weather with lots of water play. The babies especially enjoyed arts and crafts, painting fruits and leaves and exploring different textures and colours.

Over the past two weeks, the children at Archway Day Nursery have been busy having fun and learning through play. From water play, rice, and gloop, the under-twos learned about different textures and how materials can change and feel in different ways. The over-twos learned about becoming more responsible and caring for small living things, using gentle hands and showing kindness. We also learned how to express our feelings and support each other in our play.

These last few weeks, the children enjoyed learning about the butterfly life cycle by caring for caterpillars and watching them grow into chrysalises, as we wait for the butterflies to emerge. We have also been busy planting and exploring nature while learning about birds, flowers, and forests. The fun continued in the park, where the children enjoyed water play, dancing sessions, parachute games, and lots of active outdoor play together.
