Have a look at some of the mark making activities we've been up to over the last few weeks 🎨

Did you know mark making is important for children so they have opportunities to develop their fine motor skills?

This can be through drawing, painting, cutting, sticking, e.t.c All this helps children hold a pen correctly and prepare them for writing at school 🏫

Goodbye Sunmer, hello Autumn 🍂

As the weather starts to change, the children have loved exploring our autumn tuff tray. They did enjoy one last summer activity of still life sunflower paintings. 🌻

As you can see, dinasours are a firm favourite in our setting, and the staff love to create exciting trays to further extend their learning. 🦖

Exploring colour on a beautiful sunny morning 🎨🌞

Using tissue paper, we covered a whole window in different colours. It's lovely to see the sun shine through the paper. 🌞

We spoke about the different colours we could make by mixing paint together and tested the theories!

What a great week we had reading room on the broom 🧹
We ended it with an amazing tuff tray, making a witches brew!

Wishing for snow, so we created our own winter wonderland ❄️

Colour mixing on a chilly Monday morning. We made many predictions today about how to make certain colours and experimented with how light and dark we could make them 🎨
