Building AI agents that actually hold up in production takes more than a good prompt. We've put together a two-part programme for engineering teams doing this properly.

What happens when the one person who understands your codebase leaves?

That was the position Kilco found themselves in. Their app ran on an older version of Java, tied to a specific device, and only a handful of people really understood it.

Managing Director Jack Browne needed the wider team trained up within six weeks, without pulling his most experienced developers off their day jobs. We spent a day exploring Kilco's codebase, then designed a bespoke, consultative five-day programme around it.

Jack's take: "The whole team now has this capability, and that's exactly what we wanted to achieve."

Lovely feedback from Getech after their recent Agile with Azure DevOps training course:

"There was a lot of technical material to cover and Andy managed to pitch it the right level and cover so much of it, very impressive. Would be more than happy to have Andy back again budget allowing."

Last September we wrote a blog making the case for professional skills alongside technical ones, communication, facilitation, coaching, the things that actually determine whether a team delivers.

A year on, with AI doing more of the routine, analytical work, that case is stronger, not weaker. The tasks disappearing are the ones AI is good at. What's left is exactly what it can't do: read a room, coach someone through a hard project, lead a team through change.

We've always believed humans learn best from humans. Our professional skills courses cover Agile and Scrum, facilitation, team coaching, leadership and change management.
