🧠✨ Busting the biggest brain myth out there...
You’ve probably heard that we only use 10% of our brain. Sounds wild, right? But here’s the truth: it’s completely false.

Modern neuroscience shows that we actually use virtually every part of our brain, and different areas light up for different tasks—thinking, moving, feeling, even daydreaming. 🧬💭

The 10% myth likely came from a misquote or misunderstanding of early brain research, but it stuck around because it sounds cool. In reality, if we only used 10%, brain damage wouldn’t be nearly as devastating as it is.

So no, there’s not a huge “unused” chunk of your brain waiting to be unlocked. You’re already working with a powerful, fully functioning organ—every single day. 🔬💡

Quote of the weekend 📚 ‘Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardour and diligence.’ — Abigail Adams

Did you know that people who spend just 30 minutes a day learning something new are 1.5x more likely to feel fulfilled in their careers? 🚀

Stay curious — your growth is in your hands. 💪

Myth! Children do not reach the same
standard at the same time due to biology, psychology, environment, and educational philosophy. Firstly, children’s brains develop at different rates, for example, memory, attention span executive functioning don’t mature uniformly. A child’s access (or lack thereof) to books, technology nutrition, sleep, and parental involvement can heavily influence learning and progress. These resources must be tailored specifically to each child as children all have different learning styles including, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.
This means a child may strive in a subject such as maths but struggle with reading and writing. Different methods and learning styles that can affect progress can also be seen in teaching styles in a school context. Not all teachers or schools use the same methods, pacing, or curriculum so the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach can leave some children behind while others are progressing with ease, even boredom. To conclude, instead of giving children ‘what they should need’ to succeed, children need to be catered to specifically to ensure efficient progress. 📚🧠

Writing isn’t always as simple as it seems. For those with dysgraphia, the process can be a daily challenge—but it doesn’t define us. Embracing different ways to communicate and learn, because our ideas are just as powerful, no matter the medium. 💪✍️
