Our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Summer Maccabi Tournament this term and all three teams played brilliantly.
Mazel tov to our Green team, who reached the semi-finals and well done to our Blue team, who narrowly missed out on qualification due to goal difference.
A special congratulations also goes to our Red team, who reached yet another final, facing a very strong Akiva side. Remarkably, this is the first time in a Maccabi competition that the same two schools have gone head-to-head in every tournament.
A huge Mazeltov to everyone who took part. We are incredibly proud of all your effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Well done to every player! ππβ½

Hillel Nursery had the pleasure of welcoming our first group of children for their first of three settling-in sessions. They had so much to choose from, including fantastic dressing-up activities, imaginative role play and a roaring dinosaur theme! It was wonderful to see everyone exploring, playing and beginning to feel at home in their new environment. We can't wait to welcome them back and officially have them join us in September.
Shabbat Shalom! ππ¦β¨

Reception had a fantastic time on their first school trip today! We travelled by coach to the theatre to enjoy a magical performance of βThe Cat in the Hat.β After the show, we had a picnic lunch and a special surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat himself. The children also enjoyed activity packs and shared a reading of Dr. Seussβs βI Wish That I Had Duck Feet.β

Year 5 thoroughly enjoying their cooking lessons where they made delicious chocolate brownies. This activity linked closely to their science learning about reversible and irreversible changes. The children explored how chocolate melts when heated (a reversible change) and how ingredients such as eggs undergo irreversible changes during baking. It was a fantastic hands-on way to bring their learning to life and the brownies were absolutely delicious!

This week, our Year 6 girls took part in their final Maccabi Netball tournament.
As reigning champions, the girls knew that every team would raise their game against them and they responded brilliantly throughout the tournament.
A big well done to the Red Team, who reached the semi-finals and only narrowly missed out on a place in the final. A huge congratulations also to our Blue Team, made up of both Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, who showed fantastic determination and teamwork throughout the competition.
