This year we had lots of fun on Halloween.
We enjoyed observing and commenting on our costumes which were very very scary, exploring with Jelly digging and using tweezers to find scary spiders, dancing to the sound of spooky songs, decorating our own banana ghosts and exploring in the garden.

Yesterday we went to Wimbledon park where we had lots of fun exploring water and nature. We spend all day at the park, getting wet from head to toe on the splash park, made sand castles in the sand pit, explored the slides, climbed frames, got natural resources for the nursery, slept under the trees and had a picnic lunch.
The children loved it and I am sure they will not forget this amazing day! :)

We went on a trip to Vauxhall City Farm! We loved seeing all the animals Chickens, Turkeys, Lamas, Alpacas, Pigs, Flat nose rabbit, Donkeys and Goats. We especially loved visiting the goats as we were able to feed them. The fun did not stop there! Afterwards, we visited the Battersea Power Station where we had an awesome time! We took a stroll along the river walk, climbed on the giant grass chair and visited a brilliant, fantastic colourful park! What an amazing day!!!

We had a lovely trip to the ZSL London Zoo. We were all excited with this amazing experience. Before going there, we talked about the different animals we might see in the zoo (predictions), read stories related with those animals, decorated some animals using different techniques, played games mimicking the animals, read information about the zoo and found out some animals have names. We made a tally chart about the animal we most wanted to see in the zoo and we got everything ready for our trip. During the trip, we were awed with all of the animals and the children’s enthusiasm was visible to everyone. They wanted to go everywhere and see everything. We had an amazing time!

We went to see "Jack and the Beanstalk" at Southfields.
We waited patiently in line and then, finally, it was our turn to enter a magical world, with fierce creatures and gentle souls, with vibrant colours and lovely aromas.
When we sat, we watched the play and as we were enjoying it we had a surprise! And what a surprise!!!! We were part of the play. We were called to the stage and sang and danced to the sound of “Fee-fi-fo-fum”.
The group really enjoyed the play and this interactive experience.

Today is a special day for Ireland. As part of our lovely country, we watched a video about St. Patrick and talked about how St. Patrick wanted to share his faith with the Irish community and how he explained it using a Shamrock. We also found out that the Irish community loved St. Patrick and that today is a tribute to him and everything he did for everyone.
During the week, we also have been exploring the colour green, through different senses. We made constructions with blocks, magnetic shapes and stickle bricks, where the children created different patterns with the resources; we painted a Shamrock using brushes and sprinkling glitter, developing our fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination; we explored with frozen peas, noticing it’s temperature and creating empty spots on the tray, noticing the contrast of colours; we made cards to celebrate this occasion and we decorated fairy cakes with green icing, which we mixed with green food colouring and noticed the icing’s transformation.
We wish you all a lovely St. Patricks day!

It's Pancake day! Humm who doesn’t appreciate a good pancake? Our little ones… loved them!
The toddlers had fun today making pancakes, mixing the ingredients in the bowl and observing the practitioner cooking them. And the Pre-schoolers made their own playdough by following a pictogram recipe.
We were attentive to measures, textures, colours and materials transformations. Different skills were used like measuring, scooping, pouring, mixing and kneading.
We also participated in a pancake race, where we had to balance a playdough pancake in a pan.
But at the end of the day, we had even more fun eating our lovely pancakes! Does anyone want some?
