πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO NICK πŸ’«

This shout-out has taken a little longer to appear because Nick was apparently taking his time finding the right photo... πŸ˜‚ But with results like these, he certainly deserves his moment!

Nick achieved an outstanding Grade 9 in English Literature and a brilliant Grade 8 in English Language. πŸŽ“βœ¨

And the rest of his results? Grade 9s across all of his other GCSE subjects! 🌟

An absolutely exceptional academic performance.

What has been particularly lovely to hear is that Nick feels our English sessions helped not only with his results, but also with his confidence more generally. His mum felt that increased confidence had a positive impact across his other subjects too.

Nick has worked incredibly hard and thoroughly deserves everything he has achieved.

He will now move on to Sixth Form, where he plans to study Economics, Geography and Maths at A Level.

Apparently one of the other major benefits of these results is that he now has lifelong gloating rights over his older brother and sister... which I suspect may be almost as important as the certificates themselves! πŸ˜‚

Huge congratulations, Nick. What a phenomenal set of results! πŸ‘

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO AIMEE πŸ’«

Huge congratulations to Aimee on an absolutely outstanding set of GCSE results!

Aimee achieved a brilliant Grade 9 in English Language and Grade 7 in English Literature, alongside two Grade 8s, a Level 2 Distinction* and Grade 9s in the rest of her subjects.

That is an exceptional set of results and reflects just how much hard work, focus and resilience she has shown throughout her GCSE journey.

Aimee will now move on to Boswells Sixth Form, where she plans to study English Language, Performing Arts, Law and Psychology.

Such an exciting combination of subjects and a very well deserved next step.

Huge congratulations, Aimee! πŸŽ“βœ¨

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO TOM πŸ’«

Huge congratulations to Tom on achieving a brilliant Grade 7 in English Language and Grade 7 in English Literature! πŸŽ“βœ¨

There is an important story behind that Language grade too.

When Tom was completing his earlier mocks in Year 10, he was not yet seeing his efforts translate into the results he was capable of achieving. To finish his GCSE journey with a Grade 7 represents enormous progress from where he started.

Tom worked incredibly hard, but one of the best things to watch was his confidence change along the way. English had not previously been a subject he particularly enjoyed or felt he was good at. Seeing him begin to engage with it, trust his own ability and then achieve results like these has been enormously rewarding.

And his success certainly wasn't limited to English. Tom achieved a fantastic set of GCSE results across the board and has already been celebrated by his school too! 🌟

He is now planning to stay at Great Baddow for Sixth Form, studying Chemistry, Geography and PE at A Level.

What a transformation and what a thoroughly deserved result.

Huge congratulations, Tom! πŸ‘

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO KINGSLEY πŸ’«

After a short moving-house interruption, I’m back to celebrating more of my brilliant GCSE students, and Kingsley’s results absolutely deserve their moment! πŸŽ“
Kingsley achieved an outstanding grade 9 in English Literature and grade 8 in English Language.

And that was only part of an exceptional set of results. He achieved six grade 9s in total, alongside three grade 8s and a grade 7, giving him an incredible average points score of 8.75 across his top eight subjects. 🌟

Kingsley has worked extremely hard for these results, and it has been a genuine pleasure supporting him through his GCSE English studies.

He is now moving on to Sixth Form to study Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, with his sights set firmly on Medicine. At the moment, he is particularly interested in the possibility of eventually pursuing orthopaedics. 🩺🦴
An extraordinary set of results and a very exciting road ahead.

Huge congratulations, Kingsley. Very well deserved! πŸ‘βœ¨

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO WILL πŸ’«

Huge congratulations to Will on a fantastic set of GCSE English results! πŸŽ“βœ¨

Will achieved a brilliant Grade 7 in English Language and Grade 5 in English Literature.

These results mean he should now be able to progress to Baddow Sixth Form, where he is hoping to study Business Studies, Psychology and Biology at A Level, subject to final confirmation.

Will worked hard both in school and during our tutoring sessions, and it has been really rewarding to see that effort translate into the grades he needed for his next step.

He also very kindly told me that the combination of his school work and our tutoring sessions helped him achieve these results, which was lovely to hear.

A strong set of grades and an exciting next chapter ahead.

Huge congratulations, Will! πŸ‘

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO ALEX πŸ’«

A huge congratulations to Alex on an absolutely fantastic set of GCSE results!
Alex achieved an outstanding Grade 9 in English Literature, alongside a brilliant Grade 8 in English Language. πŸŽ“βœ¨

And those results were part of an excellent set across the board, including another Grade 9 in History, Grade 8s in Chemistry and Spanish, and strong results in Maths, Business, Physics, Biology and Digital Information Technology.

What makes these results particularly special is just how hard Alex has worked for them. She has had a challenging journey at times, but continued to apply herself, keep going and make enormous academic progress. Seeing that effort reflected in results like these is incredibly well deserved.

Alex is still deciding on her final A Level combination, with Spanish, History, Philosophy & Ethics and English Literature among the subjects she is considering.
Whatever she chooses, she has given herself a fantastic platform for what comes next.

Huge congratulations, Alex! 🌟

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO AVA πŸ’«

Huge congratulations to Ava on achieving a brilliant Grade 6 in English Literature and Grade 5 in English Language! πŸŽ“βœ¨

These results mean Ava can stay at her current school for Sixth Form and, most importantly, study the subjects she had her heart set on.

Ava worked incredibly hard throughout her English studies. It has been lovely to see her develop not only her skills, but also her confidence in what she is capable of achieving.
She will now go on to study Graphic Communications, Photography and Sociology at A Level, alongside Health and Social Care BTEC. πŸ“ΈπŸŽ¨

Such a creative and interesting combination, and a very exciting next chapter.
Ava has been a pleasure to teach and I am so pleased to see all that hard work rewarded.
Huge congratulations, Ava! 🀍

πŸŽ“ Student shout-outs are back!

There has been a slight pause in my GCSE Results celebrations because, rather inconveniently, I decided to move house immediately after Results Day. πŸ“¦πŸ‘

My home is (mostly) unpacked, the computer is ready, and I can now return to celebrating the students who worked so hard for their results.

Over the next few days I’ll be sharing more of their achievements, next steps and plans for Sixth Form and beyond...

There are some brilliant stories still to come, and every student deserves their moment. ✨

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO LUCIA πŸ’«

Huge congratulations to Lucia on her GCSE results! πŸŽ“βœ¨

Lucia studied English Literature with me this year and achieved a brilliant Grade 6. She had already completed English Language the previous year, achieving a Grade 5, so both absolutely deserve their place on the graphic! πŸ‘

Lucia’s path from here is a little different from the traditional Sixth Form route. Rather than returning to mainstream school, she is moving into a 32-hour-a-week vocational timetable, allowing her to focus seriously on her performing arts career.

Anyone who knows Lucia will know that performing is already a huge part of her life, and I think this next chapter suits her perfectly.

You can follow what she gets up to next over on Instagram at 🌟

Huge congratulations, Lucia. I’m looking forward to seeing where all that talent and determination takes you next!

πŸ’« SHOUT OUT TO AMY πŸ’«

Huge congratulations to Amy on achieving Grade 5 in both English Language and English Literature! πŸŽ“βœ¨

Amy worked incredibly hard for these results, and I have been so impressed by her determination and commitment throughout our time working together.

Most importantly, those grades have secured her place at Sixth Form, where she will now study Criminology, Psychology and Medical Science.

Amy has been such a lovely student to teach, and I will genuinely miss our sessions together.
A very well deserved next step. Huge congratulations, Amy! 🀍
