What do you think about the doctors strikes? Let me know in the comments.

I’ll be posting more stats over the next week or so.

Overwhelming vote of YES for strike action by junior doctors. Why do you think junior doctors are planning on striking? Do you think they should? Let me know in the comments! I will be covering this with my tutees for their upcoming interviews. Let me know if you want to book in with me, a doctor (registrar) for a mock interview tailored to your medical school.

Not posted in a while as I’ve been completely focussed on my exams (part of my registrar training on the way to becoming a consultant radiologist). Thanks for bearing with me!

As we are coming towards the latter part of this year's interview cycle, I have slashed the price of the ProjectMedSchool Interview Course to £38, with this one payment lasting for the whole of the current cycle. This means you'll receive 9 hours of tuition from me, a specialist radiology doctor who has sat on interview panels, at just over £4 an hour, available for you to go through in your own time.

Here is the curriculum below. I hope the free excerpts have been useful.

Module 0 - Course Introduction and the Interview Day

Module 1 - Why Medicine? And General Interview Questions

Module 2 - Qualities of a Good Doctor

Module 3 - Situational Questions and the STARR Method

Module 4 - Medical Ethics

Module 5 - NHS Key Topics
(Part 1: NHS Structure and Policy - Part 2: Scandals and Controversy)

Module 6 - The COVID-19 Pandemic

Module 7 - Communication Skills

Module 8 - Quickfire Questions

My availability for 1 to 1 tuition is very limited currently as I have my own exams coming up, but I could potentially take on 1 or 2 more students, so get in touch quickly if you are looking for mock interviews tailored to your specific medical school.

Best wishes and good luck

It’s been a busy month revising for my own exams which form part of my training as a specialist in radiology, so I’ve not been too active on Instagram / TikTok. It’s also meant I have limited my availability for 1 to 1 medical school interview tuition and mocks. I do have slightly more availability around my studies now and could take on a couple more students (but only a couple, sorry!) so get in quick to book a session.

Remember, all the theory, technique, hot topics and much more can be learnt in your own time in the ProjectMedSchool Interview Course so definitely check that out (and the free excerpts!) at ProjectMedSchool.com/interview-course

The largest nursing strike in living memory started yesterday. There’s another day coming - do you know when?

This is the hottest of hot topics so be prepared to be asked questions about nurses and healthcare workers striking at your interview.

Leave your answer in the comments and if you get all the correct answers and tag a friend I will give you a special late access discount (as interviews are just around the corner!) for the ProjectMedSchool Interview Course / Mock Interview Bundle. In the 9hr tuition (usually £65 all in) we will cover medical ethics and the right to strike in detail, alongside many many other topics of course!

Check it out (including free excerpts) at ProjectMedSchool.com/interview-course or book in for a 1:1 mock interview / tuition session with me, a doctor (radiology registrar, London) who has sat on interview panels.

Last night of November - I won’t post Christmas pics until December as a rule…

Hope the interview prep is going well for everyone, it’s not nice to be preparing over the Christmas period so get it done early so you can ease off a bit.

Thank you to everyone trusting me as their tutor for med school interview prep, it’s really great to see students progressing.

Send me a message if I can help you with your prep - I have some unexpected availability tomorrow evening and mid week next week for tuition and mock interviews (first come first served).

Looking at a small group size so plenty of room to make this session really interactive with plenty of feedback.

NHS Hot Topics have changed over the past few months. Make sure you’re up to date with tuition from a doctor who has sat on medical school interview panels.

Live group tutorial with Dr Oscar at 7pm on Wednesday 30th November 2022.

We will cover NHS Hot Topics from the traditional favourites of interviewers to brand new topics that have recently emerged in the media such as the Royal College of Nursing ballot on industrial action and how the latest budget by chancellor Jeremy Hunt might affect healthcare in the UK, among other trending topics.

After learning the theory, we will explore the likely questions that will result from these topics and go on to discuss answering methods and formats.
