St Margaret's Hampstead
An independent school for girls between the ages of four and 16, based in beautiful Hampstead, northwest London. With just 170 pupils, our size is our strength.
When a girl walks through our front door, she joins a warm, welcoming community
Five months of rehearsals, involving students from both years 5 & 6, culminated in a stunning performance of Annie Junior on Thursday 21st May, in the Studio Theatre at Artsdepot.
Following the success of Matilda at the same venue last year, this production was St Margaret’s first Junior School performance to involve two year-groups, thereby doubling the number of girls involved in the show.
This was Mr Bergin’s final St Margaret’s production, as he bows out of the school at the end of term. He does so with an enormous sense of gratitude to all the colleagues who helped behind the scenes, as well as parents for their support, both through rehearsals and on the night, but most of all to all the girls of Years 5 & 6 who made this production so memorable.

Before half term, our fantastic Year 5 and 6 girls took to the stage for their production of Annie Jr. They delighted the audience with their wonderful singing, energetic choreography, and impressive acting. It was a truly memorable performance that showcased their talent, confidence and hard work!

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils recently returned from their action-packed PGL residential trip!
The girls tackled several thrilling harness-based activities; zooming down the zip wire, climbing Jacob’s Ladder and the ‘trapeze’ - where the girls must climb to the top of a tall pole, balance on a small platform several metres above the ground, the leap out in an attempt to strike a suspended buoy.
Alongside these high-adrenaline challenges, there were also some more traditional activities to round things off: orienteering, a wildness challenge in which girls had to build a shelter, archery and ending the first evening by singing songs around the campfire.

Our Annual Residential Trip - Spain 2026!
Our Year 8 and 9 pupils recently returned from a residential school trip in northern Spain, trading the classroom for the rolling green hills and rugged mountains of Cantabria. We were based in the beautiful medieval town of Santillana del Mar where our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spanish culture, language and history. It was a week full of new experiences that I hope the girls will remember with fondness.

The Year 11 Leavers’ Party, kindly organised by parents, was a wonderful celebration and a fitting way for students to mark the end of their time at school together. The evening included a fun and lively quiz, which brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition, followed by a barbecue that was enjoyed by everyone attending. It was a relaxed and happy occasion where students were able to spend time together and create lasting memories before moving on to the next stage of their education.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all and provided a memorable send-off for the Year 11 cohort.
