Over the summer break, students in Years 3–7 took part in our first ever Filmmaking Camp, where they worked together to develop ideas, learn professional camera techniques, act, direct, and produce an original short film. Across the week, students explored storytelling, cinematography, editing, and production, culminating in a premiere screening for families on the final day. It was fantastic to see students of different ages collaborating creatively and gaining confidence both in front of and behind the camera.

FILMMAKING CAMP IS BACK THIS OCTOBER HALF TERM!
Following the huge success of our Summer Filmmaking Camp, we're delighted to be running another week-long filmmaking experience during October Half Term.
Students will work together to develop ideas, operate professional camera equipment, act, direct, and create their own original short film from concept to screen.

🎥 Learn real filmmaking skills
🎬 Create and star in an original film
🏆 End-of-week film premiere
👥 Open to students of all experience levels

⚠️ Spaces are limited and already filling quickly. 8 places have been reserved by returning filmmakers before general release.

St Margaret’s Hampstead is celebrating an outstanding year of GCSE success, with 70% of grades awarded at 9–7 and an impressive 46% of all grades achieved at the highest level of 9-8.

Nearly 90% of English grades were 7–9.

Geography, History, Art, Music and Drama – 100% of grades were 9–6.

These are the strongest results for St Margaret’s Hampstead since 2023!

A few of our Year 10 and 11 girls took on the exciting role of interviewers at Sports Day, interviewing students and staff throughout the event! They had an amazing time stepping into the spotlight as interviewers, capturing all the energy, enthusiasm, and memorable moments from the day. A fantastic effort all around!
