Reception loved Book Week last week as we welcomed author Rhea Malhorta Mukhytyar, who shared her wonderful book Don’t Intrude on My Mood, all about expressing every emotion — even anger. The children were fully immersed, joining in with energetic drama activities that brought the story to life. They also had a fantastic World Book Day, with brilliant costumes including Peppa Pig, Horrid Henry, and The Snow Queen.
There are limited Reception 2026 places available at Cameron Vale School, please do contact our Admissions team to find out more or book a visit.

Recently Year 1 brought their reptile learning to life with a mix of science, creativity, and a little bit of tech magic. The children explored the key features of reptiles, from scales and tails to cold-blooded bodies, before using junk modelling to invent their very own creatures. They carefully designed each reptile with the features it would need, then wrote detailed descriptions explaining what made their creations unique. They used AI to create images of their inventions based on their descriptions. The children were very excited to see their ideas turned into pictures, and they were all very proud of the results. Well done, Year 1!

This week pupils celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week, with this year’s theme being 'This Is My Place'. They explored the idea of belonging and discussed how it means feeling valued, cared for, and comfortable being themselves in the groups and places that matter to them.
Pupils also reflected on their own sense of belonging and created drawings to represent the places, groups, or activities where they feel safe and happy.

This week, Classes 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a wonderful talk from Father Baxter at St Luke’s Church about Lent and how the church nurtures a strong sense of community. The children were also fascinated as he explained the notable features of the church’s glorious stained‑glass windows.
At Cameron Vale School, we are incredibly proud to be part of such a varied and vibrant city. Being in Chelsea gives us countless opportunities to draw on the people, places and experiences around us to enrich the children’s learning.
