This sustained attack on classical music must be rethought. It's all very well saying that funding will be redirected into wider projects and education but what is the point if there is no high-level professional music making to inspire young people?

Amazing concert from all the Bucks Music County Groups at St Johns Smith Square last night.
Especially proud of the fantastic Bucks County Choir who tackled Gesualdo, Lauridsen, Whittacre, Gjeilo and Porter with panache.
Upcoming project will be Dido and Aeneas to be performed 29th July.

Absolutely fantastic Bucks County Choir Easter course with this lovely bunch. We got through the whole of Dido and Aeneas as well as covering Rep by Whittacre, Gjeilo, Lauridson, Porter and Gesualdo. Even had time for benchball, rounders and a film night! So proud of all the students.

The County Choir will be performing works by Arneson, Chilcott, Purcell, Bruckner, Esenvelds & Whitacre.
Following the return from their tour, all three county groups will perform at Waddesdon Manor on Saturday 24th July at 7pm on an outdoor stage. This is a FREE ticketed concert & open to anyone to attend. Tickets can be reserved at bucksmusic.org/waddesdon
It was so good to be back with my choirs today. The students were on top form and it was great to put together the pieces we’d been working on via Zoom. Now we just need some live performances for them!

Come and watch the virtual Beaconsfield Festival of Choirs at 5pm Saturday 6th March on YouTube. Lots of fantastic choirs and a wonderful performance from the Am@Sing Chamber Choir and Am@Sing Adult Choir. Sad we can't do perform at the live festival, but something to look forward to in 2022!
