The greatest battle is not always with the world around us, but with the voices within us. The nafs al-ammarah pulls us toward desires, the nafs al-lawwamah reminds us of our mistakes and the nafs al-mutmainnah calls us back to peace and closeness with Allah.

The goal is not to become perfect or never struggle, it is to keep choosing the voice that brings us nearer to Allah. Every sincere effort, every act of repentance and every time we return to Him is a step toward inner peace and a victory for the soul.

May Allah purify our hearts, strengthen us against our desires, grant us sincere repentance and make our souls among those that find peace in His remembrance. Ameen.

‘A’ishah (RA) said: Every night when he prophet (May peace be upon him) went to his bed, he joined his hands and breathed into them, reciting into them:”Say: he is Allah, One” and say; I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn and Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men. Then he would wipe as much of his body as he could with his hands, beginning with his head, his face and the front of his body, doing that three times.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 5056, Book 42, Hadith 5038)

Protection from Nazar begins with remembrance of Allah. Recite Surah Al-Falaq, Surah An-Naas, Ayat-ul-Kursi and seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah.

May Allah guard our eyes from jealousy, fill our hearts with peace and protect our lives from every form of harm and evil Ameen
