I am so excited to have taught my last CELTA Teaching Practice lesson, although I will miss my lovely students!
In the final lesson we get to pick the topic, content and design all of the material. The only aim I had to stick to was that it needed to be a listening lesson. I was keen to inject a little British humour into the lesson so I based it around the topic of shopping on the internet and used a wonderful comedy short from the BBC : Age of Outrage and the piece was called ‘If High Street Shopping was like Internet Shopping’. If you haven’t seen it Google it and have a watch and tell me if you also find it fabulous, and funny (I have now seen it about 20 times in order to prep for the lesson and I STILL laugh out loud!).
