With all the calls for help in war zones, emergencies and catastrophes my Entrepreneurship project for refugees is way down the list.
So I'm asking for your help to spread this through your business contacts being a CSR project.
Many thanks
Is it possible to create from scratch a sustainable micro business?
Yes of course - it happens every day
What does your project cost?
$50
How can that be possible?
It’s not only possible we’ve done it before!
Designing, teaching and running the project is similar wherever in the world you start it.
But in a refugee camp, we’ve created a programme requiring only a small investment per candidate. And as the saying goes “give a man a fish he feeds his family for a week; teach him how to fish he feeds his family for life” : we’re focused on the teaching part. Instilling hope in people who have lost hope, stuck in a refugee camp bulging at the seams!
So here’s the breakdown
Trainers - refugees in the camp - $20
Training Equipment - $15
Startup supplies - $10
Support post startup -$5
Once trading profitably the micro business - pays a small monthly Happy Ladder Club fee as payback. In time this makes it self sustainable.
All the coaching/training/mentoring by the international team is given FREE! Everything raised goes direct to the refugees in Nakivale Refugee camp under the leadership Mugala Dervile who’s lived there for 13 years! It’s become his home.

Here’s one woman’s take on the programme - yes she’s a refugee! https://youtu.be/LzuVh3N6V0c?si=9Fc6LiKfk2I3J2hm
It may not sound much but your small investment of $5 makes a massive social impact on the lives of the refugees.
