For a long time, I genuinely believed that if something wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t worth sharing.

Every post.
Every video.
Every project.

If it didn’t meet the impossible standards I had in my head, I wouldn’t put it out.

A lot of that came from my background.

Years of competitive basketball.
Demanding coaches.
Demanding parents.
An environment where good was never enough and there was always another level to reach.

While that mentality helped me achieve a lot, it also created a trap.

I became so focused on perfection that I often forgot that progress is what actually moves your life forward.

As I’ve grown and matured, I’ve realised something important:

Nobody is perfect.

In fact, many of the people who look like they have it all together are fighting battles you’ll never see.

The people who seem happiest aren’t usually the ones chasing perfection.

They’re the ones who believe they’re enough while still striving to improve.

Today, my goal isn’t to be perfect.

My goal is to show up, do my best, learn from my mistakes, and keep moving forward.

Because your best on any given day is enough.

And sometimes that’s exactly what you need to hear.

❤️ If this resonates with you, let me know in the comments.🤝

Midweek reminder:

Build a life you’re proud of.

Not a life that looks good on social media.
Not a life that impresses strangers.
A life that genuinely makes you happy when you wake up in the morning.

The truth is, most of what you want is possible with a plan, consistent effort, and the willingness to keep showing up when nobody is watching.

But don’t get so obsessed with the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey.

Have fun.
Take the trip.
Try new things.
Be curious.
Meet people.
Make memories.

And most importantly, surround yourself with people who genuinely love you, support you, and want to see you win.

Life isn’t a race. It’s a journey.

A beautiful one.

Make sure you’re living it, not just watching it pass by. ✨

What is one thing you’re grateful for this week?

POV: Cooking is my therapy.

Not because I’m a chef.
Not because I have endless free time.

But because for 30 minutes, life slows down.

No notifications.
No stress.
No pressure to perform.

Just me, good food, and the process.

As an athlete, people see the workouts, the physique, the discipline and the results.

What they don’t see are the small habits that keep me grounded when life gets loud.

Cooking has become one of those habits.

It fuels my body, clears my mind, and reminds me that looking after yourself doesn’t always have to be complicated.

Sometimes therapy looks like a walk.
Sometimes it looks like a workout.

And sometimes it looks like preparing a meal that will help you become a little better tomorrow than you are today.

What’s your version of therapy?
