Do you 😍 or 😡 pirouettes? Drop an emoji in the comments!

I always see dancers rushing their pirouettes and they often overlook the most important parts…THE PREP & PUSH-OFF!

These two steps are crucial when working towards clean, consistent pirouettes.

Studio owners & dance teachers! Are you ready to improve your students’ turn technique this summer? 🙌

I’m now booking Jun-Jul-Aug master classes! Click the link in my bio to inquire now.

Share this friendly reminder to a dancer who needs it 😉🩰

Hands down. The number one correction I give whether in class or judging at competition is ‘POINT YOUR FEET’ ‼️

What I find ironic is that pointing your feet is typically the first thing you learn to do in dance… and the first thing we forget when performing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Check out my latest reel if you’re looking for exercises to help you achieve a better point 🙌

Dance Teachers! ☝️This one’s for you.

Technique is hard. PERIOD.

We all can relate to the struggle of applying one correction, only for five other things to go wrong in the process 😤

It feels like a constant battle for improvement - and for most, an inner struggle for perfectionism.

Standing in front of a mirror, picking apart all the things wrong with what you’re doing is tough, and I saw the toll it was taking on my students 😔

Hence, the sandwich method 🙌✨

Instead of starting with what’s wrong, we celebrate what you did correctly 🎉 followed by what needs work, and wrap up with another positive moment!

The results - INCREDIBLE! My students describe feeling more accomplished and capable of applying corrections they receive.

Test it out for yourself and see how truly transformative it can make your technique classes!

Leave a 🙌 if you used to believe these myths too!

Don’t worry - this is a judgement free space. I’ll be the first to admit I used to believe every single one of these myths 😳🙈

Seriously - my “warmup” from my competitive dance days was shocking!!!

Looking back, I think I used these myths as excuses for my inconsistencies, refusal to want to strength train and complete lack of answers.

The ironic part is now my career is dedicated to shattering myths like these to help dancers better understand their bodies, improve their technique and prepare for long, healthy dance careers 🙌❤️

✨Share with a dancer you admire!

Dance is more than flexible legs, intricate turns & banana shaped feet.

So let’s be more intentional in the way we speak & praise dancers.

A dancer shouldn’t be defined by the number of tricks they can do, but rather their ability to tell a story, evoke an emotion, inspire creativity etc.

Just a lil’ note from me to you 😉❤️ What you bring to the dance community is so special, because it’s completely unique to you!

☝️Steal my tips to become a better teacher!

“Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field”

My students have heard me preach this mantra time & time again - KNOWLEDGE IS POWER 🙌🧠

Knowledge takes the question & uncertainty away and gives you the answers & tools to achieve anything!

Wondering why you keep falling out of your turns? Read a textbook.

Frustrated that your students don’t understand your corrections? Observe another educator.

Feeling along with your struggles as an aspiring dancer? Listen to a podcast.

Seriously! There are so many resources available right at your fingertips, all you have to do is search.

You are so much more than you give yourself credit for ❤️✨

Stop comparing during class, competitions or auditions, and instead find inspiration, drive & encouragement!

You got this 👊

Technique - You know it’s a vital component of your dance training, but do you actually understand what it is? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very simply put it’s your base layer, from which you build on top of.

Technique is so much more than just repeatedly practicing a skill until it’s ‘perfect’ 🙅🏻‍♀️

You should be learning how to break down a skill step by step, the anatomy involved and necessary supplemental strength/flexibility exercises required to improve.

I’m a dance technique specialist 🙌 and I would love to help you achieve your dance goals! Click the link in my bio and complete my 1:1 virtual training inquiry form to receive more information on my services & pricing.
