✨ Stitching Dreams into Reality with .report Studia On_! ✂️🧵

This term, I’ve had the absolute joy of welcoming a new class of young designers into our Fashion Design Club! For many of them, this is their first-ever journey into the world of fashion, and what an exciting start it has been!

We kicked things off by mastering the basics of hand sewing, working with running stitch and blanket stitch to create beautiful felt clutches, pencil cases, small bags, and even charming brooches! 🌟 Each piece is unique, reflecting their imagination, creativity, and growing skills.

I couldn’t be prouder of how engaged and enthusiastic they’ve been! 💖 Watching them turn simple pieces of felt into stylish, functional accessories has been truly inspiring. This is just the beginning! 🚀 As we move forward, we’ll be diving into garment-making and learning to work on the sewing machine—the next big step in their fashion journey!

From Old to Gold: Upcycling Magic at Studia On_! ✨♻️

Who would have thought that old sofa covers could turn into adorable stuffed toys? Well, our amazing young designers at Studia On_ ( .report )did just that! With a little imagination, a lot of creativity, and some serious sewing skills, they transformed donated fabrics into unique plush flamingos, lions, sausage dogs, teddy bears—anything their hearts desired! 🦩🧸🐶🦁for the first time we made toys:)

This project wasn’t just about learning to hand-stitch and work with thick materials or mastering the sewing machine—it was a journey of innovation, sustainability, and self-expression. By upcycling three big bags of unwanted fabrics, our students didn’t just create something beautiful for themselves, but they also contributed to a more eco-friendly world! 🌍💚 Thank you very much Irina from Reception class, Irina from Year 3 and for your generous fabric donations!

We are thrilled to announce our Autumn Fashion and Design Basics Camp, hosted by
📅 Camp Dates: October 28th - 30th
& November 4th (Inset Day)
🏛️ Location: Mycenae House .house SE3 7SE

Join us for hands-on activities like designing, painting, stitching, jewellery making and many more creative projects, where your child can express their creativity and explore the world of fashion and design! From 10:00-3:30pm 28th-30th October.
We offer options of booking separate days (50 pounds per day), 142 pounds for all three days with 130 pounds for early bird registration or the participants of Summer Camp and/ or Our current after-school clubs.

Draping the Mannequin: Bringing Fashion to Life! ✨

At Fashion Design Camps we always explore one of the most exciting and hands-on techniques in fashion—draping the mannequin! This creative method allows our young designers to transform flat fabrics into stunning 3D garments right before their eyes. 👗✨

Why is draping such an important skill? It helps our young students understand the structure and flow of clothing, giving them a real sense of how designs come to life. It’s not just about patterns on paper—it's about creating real, wearable fashion pieces! From pinning fabric to experimenting with shape and style, the kids had a blast letting their imaginations run wild. 🎨✂️

Draping also encourages them to think on their feet, problem-solve, and trust their creative instincts. Plus, working with mannequins makes fashion design feel real—it’s the perfect way to merge learning with fun!

Our young designers got their hands messy in the best way possible during our Design Summer Camp 2024 delivered by at .house during the Clay Jewelry Making Workshop! 🖐️💍 From crafting unique keyrings to adding personal flair to everyday spoons and cups, creativity was in full swing!

Here’s what they made: 🔑 Keyrings: Custom keychains reflecting their personal styles. 🥄 Decorative Spoons & Cups: Everyday objects with a touch of personality! 📿 Necklaces & Accessories: Colorful beads and charms turned into wearable art. 🎖️ Badges: Personalized designs and messages made into fun badges.

They molded, shaped, and baked their pieces, learning how to turn simple clay into lasting treasures. A true showcase of creativity and skill! 🔥✨

During one of the mornings of our Fashion Design Summer holiday camp, our talented campers dove into two dynamic workshops:

🎨 Mood Board Magic: Our first group mastered the art of mood board creation, curating images, textures, and colors to bring their fashion visions to life. From selecting the perfect palette to organizing their inspirations, they learned how to tell a powerful story through design. 🖼️✨

✏️ Professional Fashion Sketching: The second group sharpened their skills in fashion sketching, exploring the 9-head technique to perfect their proportions. From capturing the flow of fabric to adding intricate details, these budding designers turned simple outlines into stunning fashion illustrations. 👗✍️

Our Tuesday Fashion Design group has done it again! 🎉 We've created the most amazing reversible summer hats from scratch, and the feedback from both children and their parents has been incredible! 🌞👒

Seeing the joy and excitement on their faces as they show off their new garments is the best reward. I couldn't be happier with the creativity, hard work, and dedication that went into every stitch. 💪🧵
