🇳🇱Did you know that Dutch isn’t the only language spoken in the Netherlands and Flanders?

The official language is called ABN (Algemeen Beschaafd Nederlands), meaning „General Civilised Dutch.” This is the standardized version of Dutch used in education, media, and government.

However, in daily life, people across the Netherlands speak regional varieties of Dutch and dialects like Frisian, Limburgish and Brabantian 🤯

Dutch is also spoken in Flanders, Belgium (where they call it Flemish), Suriname, and the Dutch Caribbean islands like Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten. The diversity of Dutch goes far beyond just one version! 😅

Now, serious question: Do you know what it means to go Dutch? 🤔
