As we come to the end of another academic year, I have been reflecting on what an incredible three years Sense Assist has had.

Sense Assist Coffee Morning - 20th June 11am - 12pm

Join us for one of our final coffee mornings of this academic year!

This session, our focus will be on:

💙 Father's Day crafts
🧱 LEGO play and creativity
🎨 Messy play fun

Come along for a relaxed and informal session, where children can explore, create, and play while parents and carers have the opportunity to chat, connect, and enjoy a cuppa.

We'd love to see familiar faces and welcome new ones too.

🌟Feel Good Friday

What a fantastic week we've had at Sense Assist!

This week, we had the pleasure of beginning our transition work with some amazing Year 6 children as they prepare for their exciting move to secondary school.

We have been:

🍎Exploring school equipment and what it will be used for
🍎Creating personalised booklets about each child's new school
🍎 Having lots of fun learning how to tie a school tie - with plenty of laughs along the way.

It's been wonderful to see the children's confidence starting to grow as they start thinking about this next chapter. We are looking forward to continuing our transition work throughout the summer term and supporting them every step of the way.

💙 Feel Good Friday from Sense Assist 💙

Working with children every day reminds me that progress doesn't always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes it's a child walking into a session without feeling anxious.
Sometimes it's trying a new activity, asking for help, making a friend smile, or finding the words to express a feeling.

These moments may seem small, but they are often the biggest steps of all.

As parents and carers, it's easy to focus on what still needs support. I know how hard that can be. But today, I encourage you to pause and reflect on how far your child has come, not just how far they have left to go.

💙 Celebrate the effort.
💙 Celebrate the courage.
💙 Celebrate the little victories.

Every child develops at their own pace, and every step forward deserves recognition.
