🌧️ Welcome Back, Everyone! 🌈

What a lovely first week back we’ve had! It has been wonderful to welcome all of our children back after their little break and see them settling back into nursery life with such enthusiasm. 💕
Today, the children embraced the rainy weather and had lots of fun playing outdoors, getting active and enjoying some fresh air!
We also incorporated lots of counting into our outdoor play, turning everyday experiences into fun learning.

⚽🌍 World Cup Week at Mini Munchkins Nursery! 🌍⚽
This week we're kicking off a fantastic World Cup-themed week full of fun, learning and delicious food from around the world! 🌎

Children are welcome to come dressed in their favourite football shirt or team colours (if they have one) to help us celebrate countries from across the globe. ⚽❤️💙💚

🍕 Our menu is taking a trip around the world too! Each day we'll be enjoying tasty dishes inspired by different countries, helping the children explore new flavours and cultures.

🥗 As always, we will happily cater for all vegetarian diets, allergies and dietary requirements, so every child can enjoy our World Foods Week safely.

☀️ Hot Weather Reminder ☀️

With the warm temperatures continuing today, please can we ask that all children arrive in light, comfortable clothing suitable for the weather.

We will be helping everyone stay cool by spending time in our air-conditioned rooms, limiting time in direct sun during the hottest parts of the day, and ensuring children have plenty of water available throughout the day.

Please remember to apply sun cream before arriving and bring a named hat if possible. 🧢💧

🌟 What a wonderful week we’ve had at nursery! 🌟

Our children have been busy exploring, creating and learning through play this week 💚
🎨 We enjoyed a colourful water painting activity using pipettes and cornflour, helping to develop fine motor skills, hand strength and coordination whilst encouraging creativity and curiosity.

🌿 Outdoors, the children loved taking part in a nature matching game, exploring the environment around them and building observation skills as they matched natural treasures they discovered.

It has been fantastic to see so much teamwork, concentration, imagination and smiles throughout the week. We are so proud of how engaged and enthusiastic everyone has been ✨

Lots of squishing, mixing, scooping and sensory exploration going on — perfect for developing fine motor skills, curiosity and imagination while having lots of messy fun! 💛

Healthy smiles start with simple daily habits, and tooth brushing is one of the most important! At nursery, we’re encouraging children to build confidence in brushing their teeth through fun, play-based activities—because learning should always be exciting!

Brushing twice a day helps to keep teeth strong, prevents tooth decay, and keeps those little smiles shining bright!

Top tips for home:
🪥 Brush for 2 minutes, morning and bedtime
🪥 Use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste
🪥 Make it fun—sing a song or use a timer!
🪥 Encourage independence, with a little help from grown-ups

By working together—nursery and home—we can help children develop lifelong healthy habits 💛

🦷✨ Smile, it’s Oral Health Day in our Nursery! ✨🦷

Today our Munchkins have been busy exploring the importance of keeping our teeth clean and healthy. Using toothbrushes and toothpaste, the children had so much fun practising their brushing skills on our dinosaur teeth 🦕—a big hit and a brilliant way to build confidence!

Through play, we’ve been learning:
• How to brush our teeth properly
• Why we brush twice a day
• The importance of looking after our smiles

It’s been a fun, hands-on day full of giggles, learning, and lots of sparkling smiles! 😁✨

🌈 Colourful Learning in Action! 🎨
Today in the nursery, our children explored the wonderful world of colours through fun matching and mixing activities! From identifying colours to experimenting with blending paints, the children were fully engaged and curious throughout.
They loved discovering how colours change when mixed—turning simple play into exciting little “wow” moments! 💫
