We are looking for an experienced and engaging SEND Tutor to provide 10 hours per week of face-to-face tuition for an 8-year-old autistic boy in Cambridge.
📍 Location: Cambridge, CB3

The young person is currently out of school and has a wider programme of support incorporating tuition, community-based activities and therapeutic provision.
He is non-verbal and hyperactive and will initially need regular sensory breaks. He is keen to learn and responds particularly well to pictures, visual resources and visually supported learning. There is also a possible auditory processing difficulty, so a visual, practical and multisensory approach would be particularly beneficial.
📚 English and Maths are already being provided by another service, so we are looking for someone who can deliver a broader, creative and engaging curriculum based around his interests and learning needs.
🔬 Science is his favourite subject, so we would particularly welcome a tutor who can use this interest to build engagement and develop learning across the curriculum.
He also receives Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) and Occupational Therapy (OT).
We are looking for a tutor who is:

SEND Tutoring are recruiting specialist QTS SEND tutors to support a 7‑year‑old with an autistic profile (including PDA) and ADHD. This role is based in Cambridge and requires a highly flexible, relational, low‑demand approach with a strong focus on emotional regulation, sensory needs, confidence‑building and practical, interest‑led learning. ✨

We’re looking for tutors with significant PDA experience, trauma‑informed practice, and confidence supporting movement‑based, hands‑on learning. This young learner experiences significant challenges with emotional regulation, sensory overwhelm, flexibility and coping with demands. During periods of distress, he may attempt to leave environments, climb, hide in unsafe spaces or react physically, all understood as stress responses, not deliberate behaviour.

He is imaginative, curious and highly practical, with strong interests in mechanics, engineering and hands‑on learning. Strengths include maths and creative problem‑solving, writing and English are more challenging. 🔧📚

Starting out with one hour per day, building gradually to 15 hours per week. Sessions may initially be fully interest‑led. Face‑to‑face work in the home and community. 🌱

SEN Tutoring is seeking an outstanding Qualified Teacher (QTS) to support a 15-year-old young person with visual impairment, PDA and complex learning needs.

This is a rewarding face-to-face role for approximately 15 hours per week (3–4 hours per day), with additional paid planning time to adapt resources and personalise learning.

We’re looking for someone with:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅ At least 5 years’ teaching experience
✅ Experience supporting learners with PDA and complex SEND
✅ Experience with visual impairment (highly desirable)
✅ Additional SEN qualifications (preferred)

Ideally, you’ll be a secondary teacher able to teach core subjects. However, we’d also love to hear from experienced primary teachers who can teach an academically able learner.
