Usually, we use forks to eat food served on a plate, while spoons are used to eat food served in a bowl. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Certain types of food, such as desserts, demand the use of forks and spoons together. We use the fork to keep food portions steady, while spoons are for cutting and bringing food to the mouth.

Parents' excuse not to have adequately taught their children the art of table manners range from parents thinking it would just happen naturally to parents assuming their children would learn the skills themselves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Others didn't mind their child using their fingers for any food - whatever their age. But the majority said their children had difficulty using cutlery correctly.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Children lose confidence when they start to struggle with standard cutlery. Holding correctly a knife and fork according to table manners requires mastering the correct grip, and it is challenging and not intuitive with ordinary cutlery. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To solve this problem I designed ergonomically shaped cutlery that supports children in gaining this valuable life skill.

Your child's cutlery should fit comfortably in their smaller hands.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When progressing to cutting food, give your child opportunities to practise these skills at times other than mealtimes. Start with easy foods such as pieces of boiled potato, carrot, banana, pieces of fruit and cheese

The royal dress code emphasizes maintaining a reputable image of doing everything in good taste. Among the royal families in the world, the British have always had the most open and disciplined dress code.
Dinner guests should always dress in formal evening wear. It is strictly forbidden to use a mobile phone, and good use of the knife and fork is expected.

An elegant dinner party allows you to guess what you will eat based on the cutlery set on the table. However, you would never guess if you would eat fish at the Queen's table. King Edward VII banned fish cutlery', the Monarch's great-grandfather, who considered it to be "very common" and unworthy of the Royal table.

Once the banqueting table is assembled, and the decorative display has been delivered, unpacked, and positioned, the final touches are added.

According to the British table setting rules forks are placed on the left, knives and spoons on the right, and glassware above the knives. Knife blades facing the plate and all the silverware spaced and lined up at the bottom of the setting.

Every banquet needs the queen's approval.

There will never be a dinner party menu where the queen does not give her stamp of approval. She does not plan meals, but she does decide if something isn't appropriate for the situation. The queen prefers lighter meals for dinner instead of carb-heavy options and doesn't like strong scents, such as garlic.

At Buckingham Palace, State Banquets are planned well over a year in advance, but the final build of the State Banquet table begins around five days prior to the arrival of the visiting Head of State.
The Master of the Household's department, the operational arm of Buckingham Palace, is primarily responsible for ensuring the Banquet runs smoothly.

The Queen has a rule about how many dinner guests are allowed to sit at the table.
The number of guests has to be either more or less than 13, but never exactly 13.

British etiquette dictates courteousness and Impeccable table manners at all times.

In the UK, dinner guests are expected to bring a gift for the host or hostess, such as a bottle of wine, a bouquet of flowers or chocolates. In addition to holding cutlery correctly and using napkins correctly, good table manners are essential. But what if the Queen invites you? Is a gift appropriate? What do you think?
