Who Was the First to Speak Arabic?
Historians differ on who first spoke Arabic, but what they agree on is that the person who established the rules of grammar and morphology was Abu al-Aswad al-Du'ali.

He formulated these rules after Islam spread to various parts of the world and non-Arabs converted to it.
He feared that the language might disappear and that distortion might enter the holy Quran, which is the most authentic book in the Arabic language.
Therefore, he established this science and called it Al-Nahw.
