At the Cutting Edge of Global Mental Health

​​The Organizing Committee of Global Mental Health Research Seminars has put together a special program for March 2022, to make March a Global Mental Health Awareness month. Spearheaded by the GMH MSc students’ appreciation of the global burden of mental ill-health and eagerness to alleviate this burden through cutting edge research, we hope to shine light on special topics around GMH through our seminars this coming month. Each seminar will spotlight a different prominent speaker and topic pertinent to the field of Global Mental Health, to raise overall awareness.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming events in March 2022:
1. March 1, 4-5 pm: Seminar with Prof Ricardo Araya & Dr Marcia Scazufka (See below for more information)
2. March 7 (1-2 pm) Seminar with Prof Sir John Strang on the future of addictions research in Global Mental Health during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
3. March 23, 3-4:30 pm: Seminar with Prof Elijah Anderson on how systemic racism operates in everyday life.
4. March 30, 12:30-13:30 pm: Seminar with Prof Dixon Chibanda on scaling up the Friendship Bench intervention in different settings.
