One of the many takeaways was that the search for flow is a journey and that Myhaly Csikszentmihalyi’s book of “Flow” can be a valuable resource for further learning…

The author started to study “the characteristics of best moments in life” and what such experts at it have in common through those optimal and perfect experiences. We all have had this impression observing artists, musicians, athletes, musicians, chess masters, surgeons and many other trades. It is also universal as such optimal experiences are felt in the same way by men and women, young and old and regardless of cultural differences.

Flow examines the process of achieving fulfilment through the control over one’s inner life. It studies how consciousness works and how it is controlled as any experience (joy or pain, interest or boredom) presents itself as information and the way we decide to control such information we can decide what our lives will be like.

I really enjoyed how Myhaly invites you, through some degree of intellectual effort, to reflect and think hard about your own experience to retrain your mind to see your life in a different way and find your flow…
