I used my intuition to find my husband.

We met at work. He was eating a banana while holding a water bottle, and it made me smile.

We would see each other daily in the gym before work and say 'hi' in passing. He felt familiar and inexplicably safe.

For a long time, it stayed friendly, professional. Eventually, we both left that company, and yet somehow I knew I would see him again.

Two years later, we met again in a gym on Oxford Street in Central London. In this huge metropolis, we found each other.

The familiarity was still there, the smiles, the easiness, the openness.

We took our time getting to know each other.

There was no rush. We simply 'knew' it felt right, and didn't worry about where it might lead.

This year, we'll be married 14 years.

Looking back now, I know my intuition was speaking to me the moment I met him.

It felt like a remembering - it was right. I had an indescribable sense of calm.

This is how my intution speaks to me.

It took me a while to figure it out, but knowing this now helps me to know what's right for me, and what isn't.

Making decisions is no longer clouded in self-doubt and 'what if's'. It's rooted in what feels right for me, my inner knowing and even my body.

It feels easy to go about my day, because I know I have an inner guidance system helping me on my path.

And all it takes is a bit of tuning in to hear it, and trust to follow it.

My life changed dramatically just over a year ago. That's when I learned how to listen to and trust my inner voice.

The funny thing is, I knew it was there all along. I just didn't realise how powerful it was.

I'll admit, taking action on what it tells me it isn't always easy. But I've learned to trust it, knowing it's never wrong.

I now love helping other people tune in, hear and listen to their inner voice. Because we all have it. It's just that sometimes we silence it and need a bit of help to find it again.

I used to sit back in meetings, absorb what I was seeing and hearing and eventually offer my ideas that were based on observation and deep insight.

Often I would say the root problem that I could clearly see that needed fixing. I thought it was a great value to know this, because it meant we could solve the problem and stop it from recurring.

But all too often, I was seen as a blocker. I was told to be more positive minded and JFDI.

Eventually, group think would take over, and we would do the thing, and nothing ever changed. The same problems existed, and the same outcomes resulted.

I can now see that this ability of mine is a gift that had landed in the wrong environment. I don’t blame them for not listening to me because that’s not how those environment are set up to play.

I now use this skill in a place it matters, my client work. I listen, I sense and I see within to help them discover what’s in the way.

We all have barriers, but all too often they’re invisible to us. And despite all the work we put in to uncovering them, they remain outside of our grasp.

That’s why it’s so beautiful to be able to help others to see what they can’t.

Then they can boldly forward, even in areas they never thought possible.

I’ve made this journey and continue to. My clients do this too. And we’re just like you. The only difference is we tried something new, and it worked.
