The 2026 Edexcel A-Level Maths grade boundaries are here 📊
After all the reaction to Paper 1, it’s interesting to see the A* boundary fall from 258 marks last year to 254 this year.
Whatever grade you received today, remember: this is one result, not the definition of what you can achieve next.
University, apprenticeship, employment or another route entirely — wishing every student the very best for the next chapter. 🙌

Results day is coming. Before you react to your child’s grades, every parent needs to hear this letter.
As teachers begin their well-earned summer break, my busiest season quietly begins: consultations, enrolment, class placements and planning for September.
I know many teachers look at tutors and content creators and think leaving the classroom might offer more freedom. In some ways, it does. But you don’t escape the pressure—you exchange it for a different kind.
One of the hardest parts is self-motivation. After taking a break, switching your mind back into work mode can be difficult—especially when there is no headteacher, timetable or fixed start date forcing you to begin. You have to create your own structure, deadlines and momentum.
There are no guaranteed pupils, fixed salaries or departments sharing the workload. Behind every lesson are the meetings, marketing, administration, payments and uncertainty that nobody sees.
Working for yourself can be incredibly rewarding, but the grass isn’t automatically greener. It still needs cutting—and now you’re responsible for the entire field. 😅
