This message reminded me why confidence matters so much β€” when a child starts to believe in themselves again, everything changes.

Teaching is not just about maths; it is about connection, trust, and helping students feel seen, understood, and capable.

From dreading maths to walking into exams calm, prepared, and smiling β€” this is the kind of transformation that makes the hard work worth it.

This one really touched me β€” when a student rushes to join lessons and a parent misses hearing the teaching in the background, you know the connection went beyond just maths.

Behind every result and testimonial is a huge amount of energy, care, and sacrifice.

This work takes a real toll throughout the year, so now it’s time to recharge, reset, and come back ready to serve next year’s students with the same passion and excellence.

Congratulations to the cohort of A-Level maths students of 2026.

How did you find the final paper 3?

Social media ban for under 16s is coming as announced by PM Kier Starmer.

How will this affect you?

Edexcel A-Level Maths Paper 1 may have knocked your confidence, but students need to hear this:

Do not let Paper 1 take Paper 2 and Paper 3 from you as well.

You are allowed to feel upset. You are allowed to feel frustrated. But now it’s time to reset, refocus and protect the marks that are still available.

One paper can shake you.

But it should not define you.

I recently posted a video about the reaction to Edexcel A-Level Maths Paper 1 2026, and it has been really well received on other platforms.

Many students have said this paper knocked their confidence β€” not just because it was hard, but because they felt the structure and style made it difficult to show what they knew.

As parents, it’s important we understand the emotional impact exams can have. A-Level Maths should be challenging, but if a paper leaves large numbers of students overwhelmed before Paper 2 and Paper 3, then fairness and confidence need to be part of the conversation.

This video is not about making exams easy.

It’s about asking whether the assessment was fair, whether grade boundaries will reflect the difficulty, and how we help students reset rather than collapse after one difficult paper.

Parents β€” please watch this, especially if your child came out of Paper 1 feeling defeated.

Edexcel Higher students, these are some topics worth revising for Paper 3 based on what appears not to have come up yet.

Don’t treat this as a prediction β€” treat it as a smart final checklist. Pause, save, and revise the methods.

AQA & EDEXCEL PAPER 2
HOW DID YOU FIND IT?

02/06/2026

Tomorrow is GCSE Maths Paper 2 β€” the calculator paper.

But remember: calculator paper does not mean calculator for every question.

You may still need algebra, exact form, surds, simplifying, factorising, rearranging and proper mathematical reasoning.

Tonight, check your calculator is in degrees mode, pack your equipment, revise key formulas, then get proper rest.

Paper 2 is another chance to win marks. Stay composed. Start with what you can do. Don’t let one hard question shake you.

You’ve got this. πŸ‘Š

This is where students lose easy marks on probability tree diagrams πŸ‘€

Remember: each pair of branches must add up to 1, then multiply along the branches.

Save this for your GCSE Maths revision.
