So much positivity, connection and energy in one room! 🤍

Our 3rd annual NursesCornerUK event, Beyond the Bedside, was everything and more. I’m honestly so proud of what we’ve created and how this community continues to grow.

This is what happens when healthcare professionals come together in support of one another. People willing to learn, share their stories, experiences and insights, have honest conversations and explore the many different pathways available within healthcare.

The room was full of encouragement, representation, connection and so many reminders that there really is more than one path in healthcare.

Still buzzing from the day! 🥹🤍

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, shared and helped make the day what it was.

🚨 FINAL SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨
And what a way to end our speaker lineup! 🔥

As we count down to Saturday, we are proud to introduce our final speaker , Jay Dungeni, Chief Nursing Officer at Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust. 👏🏾

Jay brings with him over 25 years of NHS experience, beginning his career as a Healthcare Assistant while completing his nurse training. After qualifying in 2001, he developed a strong clinical career in Trauma & Orthopaedics before moving into healthcare leadership.

His career has since evolved across operational leadership, corporate governance and clinical transformation, alongside a powerful focus on leadership, inclusion and equity across health and social care.

Jay has also held an Executive Director role in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and currently chairs the CNO England Ethnic Minorities Advisory Collaborative while championing greater recognition and value for global majority talent within senior NHS leadership.

But his impact doesn’t stop there. 💫

Through his ‘Pay It Forward’ coaching and mentoring scheme, Jay is committed to developing current and future leaders, sharing his experience, breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

And because leadership is more than a job title, Jay also brings his passion for lawn tennis, where he is an LTA-accredited coach. 🎾

This is exactly why we created Beyond the Bedside , to hear from people who have challenged the traditional idea of what a healthcare career can look like and to leave you thinking:
