This live workshop - on 9th January at 10 am (UK time) - will cover some ways of working and proactively raising awareness of the connection between body and mind.

grounding yourself
increasing confidence and clarity

Yoga is not performance - Yoga is connection

Yoga is cultivating harmony, resilience, compassion. It is putting ourselves in front of healthy challenges in order to be stimulated to improve, in that unique, very personal balance between pushing ourselves and be gentle with ourselves. It is getting to know our inner world better, thanks to the connection we are building between body, mind, breath, environment, to discover that we are 1 with all things.

- The Circle - Visualisation Meditation -
Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes softly and start to get in tune with your natural breath. Imagine a dot of light (give it a colour, maybe a temperature and a texture) positioned at the centre of your solar plexus, at the bottom of your sternum. Imagine the dot expanding with every inhalation, becoming brighter and getting back to a little dot with every exhalation.
Try to get the circle bigger with every inhale: imagine it reaching your shoulders and abdomen and back to your centre, then your throat and hips and back again to a little shiny dot, bigger to reach your forehead and knees... and so on out of your body and back in.
To get more focussed doing it alone, count the breaths, so that you know you are not loosing track of time and you can keep concentrating in visualising the power of your breath.

Monday evening practice was all about self-expression, looking inward while opening outward, compassion. I had the most wonderful sleep despite the full moon :-)
