Democracy is action this afternoon as the whole schools votes on their favourite item in the science fair. Each year group has been busy conducting experiments and the best are on display to be voted for!
Today year 3 went to the (Thanks ), we learned how to experiment with shading as well as using different techniques to create portraits. We looked at some of the famous portraits on display before creating our own.

Year 6 had a great day on the Isle of Wight today.
As an exit to the biology topic Year 5 heard from Nathan’s mum, who is a nurse, about being a nurse and how she works with the human body as part of her profession. The children then drew their body outline using chalk and drew in their organs they have been learning about.

There’s nothing like the fizzy atmosphere of Year 6s going on School journey! First time on a ferry for most and away from their parents… but already having the best time on the Isle of Wight ⛴️
Today Reception enjoyed the "Under the sea" now>press>play experience in the garden. The children loved pretending to be different sea animals, a surfer and even a pirate! They loved discussing how the real animals move under the water from the wobbly jelly fish to the scuttling crab! And what a lovely day to get outside in the pink headsets!

For day mechanisms in the ELP, the children planned and made their own superhero using a range of tools.
Year 2 have been making moving characters within a setting as a part of Day!
It is day in and this term we are all working on mechanisms. Year 3 had a great time working on levers and sliders. They worked independently to adapt their mechanisms to show moving objects. One child said" This was a fun lesson. I want to learn more challenging mechanisms "
Well done to the Queen bees 🐝 who competed in a Croydon Athletics tournament today. First time out and two girls placed second (and therefore qualifying for Friday) in long jump and high jump! Thanks
